• it's a long weekend (even though I'm not in NSW, I get their holidays which means I have a holiday when everyone else in my state has to work, and that leaves me feeling special and probably a little smug... also WA had a holiday last week and I didn't get it so I'm not that smug)

• I bought sugar snap peas and they are so good, I've eaten ten already, yummo

• Ella has been doing great on her walks, which is awesome! She's such a fast learner. Is she a genius wonderdog? Not quite sure about that but I'm managing my expectations and trying not to compare her with a certain other genius wonderdog 🥲

Un golden retriever resultó ser el mejor despertador, un video se ha vuelto viral en internet, donde el perro comenzó instantáneamente a despertar a su dueña después de su primer movimiento en la cama. El peludo había estado esperando ese momento toda la noche. 🥰😍🤩 #Dogs #Dogstodon #DogsOfMastodon

Great news yesterday, it looks like we'll soon be getting our second foster dog! Either another labrador or a golden retriever, but we won't find out for a week and a bit. Here's a pic of our first, Kath, now a fully qualified guide dog and living the dream in a much better garden at her forever home 🥹 If the new dog is half as loving and funny as Kath, we'll count ourselves lucky! #Dogs #DogsOfMastodon #FosterDog

😊 #Dogs #Hunde #FediDogs #ZughundesportVerbindet

Mitsunaka is mighty, but mellow Mitsunaka came to ARK from Kawanishi in Hyogo Prefecture after his owner became ill. Named after Minamoto no Mitsunaka, a powerful and wealthy samurai associated with the area, this Mitsunaka is a gentle soul and quite reserved. His favorite pastime is snoozing in the afternoon. But, he also likes walks and if you show him [… #Japan #JP #JapanNews #dogs #dogsforadoption #Japanese #Japanesenews #news https://www.alojapan.com/1544902/mitsunaka-is-mighty-but-mellow/

Thankful for the weather magics that caused #nolo to stall for many hours before heading west without getting closer to the Big Island. Still quite a bit of wind and rain but it could be so much worse. In our little valley on Oahu, the sustained winds are 31 mph with surprise gusts for fun. I’m sure our neighbors are amused by the small dog and small-ish human trying to stay upright on trips outside. Here is a video of Mochi getting her safe space ready for bed the other night. Not quite sure what she’s doing, but she knows it when she does it. #mochislifeishard #mastodog #dogs #dogsofmastodon #hurricanenolo

Warm summer day felt like 25C in Rock Crk. Canyon 2000-2200m. SW flow aloft ahead of weak system, so dry too. Still, fall colors advancing, little faster than last year. Short hike up Beartrack Trail toward Silver Run Plateau, but only went up 4K. Had divert to secret falls 2050m just 200m off main trail, but hidden. Always good flow this stream 👍🏽. Last time here in July it was 35C, much better today. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana #mountains

Has anyone here successfully litter-trained a dog? Any advice or recommended how-tos? I know it's usually only done for toy breeds, but Seba's anxiety is so bad that even medicated, every thunderstorm or other disruption puts us right back to square one on housetraining and this is not a good way to live. #Dogs #DogTraining #DogsOfMastodon #AskFedi
