We’re starting to get that the kid is not a reader. It makes my heart hurt but I try to remember he’s his own person and can have drastically different characteristics than me.
That being said is I’d still like to encourage him to read and maybe some day like it. Any tips for how to get a 7 year old interested in reading?

As a former Muslim, I have a lot of mixed feelings about people who go on anti-Islamic rant. Some of their points are valid. But sometimes it feels like, they forget other problematic religions exist. And all of those are just more tools to oppress people. You’re not winning any points in my book just for singling out Muslim people
