It's great that Mastodon notifies you when a post you've boosted or faved is edited, but it's strange that there's no notification when a post you've replied to or quoted* is.
(I was in a "discussion" a while back where I questioned a statement by some chump and he after a while edited his post making it look like I didn't read it before replying, and I didn't see it until some hours later.)

It was a perfectly good sofa when I bought it and it's a fully functional sofa now. If there's a production error making it hazardous, the manufacturer is (or at least should be) obliged to recall/repair/replace.
I don't care that there are fancier models out now. I like my sofa as it is.

If Blokey posts "Donno's dog is stupid," Donno replies "Why do you hate my dog?" and Blokey changes his first post to "Man, I love cats!" it changes the whole interaction without Donno knowing.
And I _really_ don't think a reading receipt's the most common use of a fave. Especially not when arguing with a non-mutual.

Honestly I'm not too sure there should be a cutoff at twelve months even.
If it can be shown that lack of treatment caused by rejection was _likely_ to have contributed to the death they should be held (partly) responsible.
But then again, I'm used to universal health care, so I've never had to pay more than the equivalent of $/€/£~200 total for any treatment.

Any split and damage can only be caused by people holding up an influential person as unaccountable for their actions instead of accepting that he's done both great work in and huge damage to the field.

The object isn't necessarily the thing, but what it symbolises. A post space deep fried lasagna wouldn't just a be deep fried lasagna, it'd be a _post space_ deep fried lasagna.
Like, sure you could make it yourself and claim you had the astronaut's reward, but that would be stolen valor like printing your own diploma.
And now I'm yearning for a deep fried slice of lasagna, space or not 😢

My base suggestions is to make systemic changes like actually doing due diligence on financial backers, take criminal complaints seriously and yeet assholes from our midst -- even if they're skilled at what they do -- as they inevitably chase others away.
