So when I read your 10K run judt now ... brother, I envy you all the way across the ocean to Canada.
Keep running!

It's getting better. I bought a dress this spring and it has pockets in it. They're not the greatest but at least it's a step forward.

I apologize in advance for hijacking your wonderful story with pocket complaints. Sorry.

The best one I ever had was from a tiny food truck at a car show. It was amazingly crust on the outside and chewy soft on the inside. And they had their own homemade grain spicy mustard that was nose clear strong. It's was so good with the cold beer in shade.

That sounds like a good reason to open a Pretzel Truck ... $$$. LOL

FWIW ... I'm team pretzel!
Because I've eaten some mighty fine GF pretzels with spicy grainy mustard.

At my old place I had plant the tulip bulbs under chicken wire in the fall or the squirrels would eat them. Pain in the butt but was only way ...

This is your first spring at the new house ... Any surprises, plant wise? Did the previous owner leave you with lots of tulips and such?

Collecting seeds from your garden in the fall. Taking cuttings from plants you already have. Swapping plants with other gardeners.
Bartering! I once wanted a particular hosta that was out of my price range. Another gardener offered to give me one of hers if I dug up a new flower bed for her. Saved me $75!!

That's the ultimate, isn't it.
Back when I gardened in my own garden, I had a mini green house and was able to grow from my own seed and cuttings.

No.
How about the manufacturers just put decent pocket in women's clothing, period. And not charge us extra!
They do it for men ... why not for women?

Not yet but they are building a new factory over in the industrial section of town. I'll miss the smell of the cheddar goodness wafting through the air because live near the current factory.
Studying for my blood test with no coffee is cruel ... and I don't think I'll pass it without caffeine.
Now to start my fast for tomorrow's blood work.

Last year I planted fully grown Asiatic Lilies and the squirrels ate the bulbs off the bottom. Really heart breaking to find the flower stems just laying on the dirt. 🤬

They're not as popular as doughnuts in Canada but there's usually a few places that sell them. Generally bakeries.

"as many shells as she could fit in her hands and jeans pockets."
So she had 6 shells, because as we all know, you can't fit anything in women's jean pockets! LOL

And buy what instead?
When the market doesn't give you alternatives (that you can afford), what then?
The other thing is ... They used to put the same pockets in women's jeans back in the 70-80's, then they stopped giving us full pockets and replaced them with shallow useless excuses that we could only fit a tube of lipstick in. 🙄

That makes perfect sense. The flavours are unendless.
I, on the other hand, eat a doughnut about once a year and generally because their nothing else available. Lol
7371 steps so far. Might go far another walk later if my legs are up to it but honestly I doubt it.
That 3 hrs of heavy gardening 2 days ago has set me back. The next day my hamstrings and glutes were so sore, it hurt like hell to stand up. And my lower back wasn't happy either. All that bending over and shoveling did me right in. Along with the heat and sunburn, I've still not recovered. The rest will have to wait until I'm ready again.
And FFS people, DO NOT plant orange ditch lilies in flowers beds.
