These plants - originally kalettes and purple sprouting broccoli - now interbred and self seeded have fed us with this wonderful food daily for several months so far this year and will go on doing so for several more months. We never tire of it. The stalks taste as good as asparagus and the green is very tasty. The early bumblebees, when they emerge, will feast on the flowers that open. So don’t pull up the old plants and they will feed you and the bees and will self seed

A young man just pulled up in a van and asked to go down one of our fields to wrap barbed wire round a pole carrying high voltage wires. A bit random I thought so I said no because we have livestock. He seemed relieved and went off happy at not having to do the work #weird
Why do distillers add flavours to gin? I like London gin - cheaper and tastes of juniper berries. Kind people have given us three different versions of gin recently and they all taste like cheap sweets 😑
Three more lambs born this afternoon in the rain #Defaidodon #soay
New born lamb this morning at 7.30am with maybe another waiting to emerge…#Defaidodon #soay
Rescued this black beauty from the water butt - I love the bobbles on the ends of their antennae - very 1990s #bugstodon
The sunshine is perfect for these girls #Defaidodon #soay

@helenclayton@mas.to thanks Helen - turned out to be a twin but the second lamb was born dead tangled in the placenta so it’s a mixed story. Hoping now that the ewe is ok to raise this little one

@BashStKid@mastodon.online yes of course it was but this is West Wales! Last one just lambed now - twin ewe lambs. I can feel sleep coming on 🙃

@Axomamma@mastodon.online the perspective makes the lamb look a bit bigger than she really is but you’re right it must fold up small 😄

@liilliil@mastodon.online I’m ok with the rabbit and I gave the chapel folk little Easter eggs after taking their service this morning but I didn’t dress up as a rabbit that would have been taking it too far 😁

@htpcnz@mastodon.social I doubt they have read the Bible since if they had they’d ban it too. They might have read some weirdo books about the Bible though
