Next cheapest we use the most is more beans and eggs. Or maybe cow milk. I use milk in lots of my soups and sauces for the protein and b12 cuz I don't eat meat very often
Potato soup cooked in milk, salted butter and pepper is a meal in a bowl Add on some cooked greens and\or bacon if you're feeling fancy. I prefer homemade corn bread

I had a squirrel yell directly at me yesterday until I got up from my sunning chair and run off a feral cat. Who told him I'd do that? The birds that trained me to check the yard every time they give a warning squawk when I'm outside?

I only knew cuz the dad of one of the victims came to my store. He needed a couple pints after being in court all day over it.
You can't trust the media to tell us these things, not when there's so much propaganda to push. They want us focused on hating each other and silencing everyone they can who says otherwise

@Annacats I'm lucky, my cats self regulate their eating. I put out food when the bowls are totally empty. They eat dry food on the regular, and most of them eat twice a day.
When it's wet food time (2x a week) or snacks (chicken, cheese) I have to monitor them cuz they will gorge lol

Everyone needs a good humbling now and then and retail will do it (it will also make you hate people but maybe if we all did it and learned some damn empathy we'd be much happier overall)
