@neil I remember spending a lot of time outside digging in the dirt. Which sounds terrible, but I enjoyed it.

I'm owned by cats and I make things. I usually have some kind of creative project going on or another. I like retro web, decentralized, and non-corporate stuff. I love making pixel art and web toys, collecting dolls, video games, and virtual pets, and talking about stuff that interests me. Sometimes, very rarely, I sell the stuff I make, but usually I just give it away for free.

Made a blog post about how to discover new music if you’re moving away from Spotify or other streaming services. There are a ton of posts around about how to own your music, but not as many about how to keep hearing new stuff, so I thought this might be helpful:

welp, I was going to get a good breakfast and enjoy some tea, but THIS LITTLE BUTTHOLE decided she needed to scream at full volume until she got the cuddles she wanted.

Kitties walked and peed on medieval manuscripts. This article features a very angry note from a monk who nonetheless acknowledges that it was mostly his fault for leaving the book out in the first place.

I've been having a lot of fun coloring lately while watching videos. I found out I had this book from Creative Haven that I hadn't touched yet, and the simpler drawings are really nice to color through. It's kind of nice to just sit and concentrate on art every once in a while. These were all done with crayola colored pencils and crayola signature markers.

@Star12Mt Multispecies Cities is an anthology I picked up a while back and really enjoyed. Short stories are a great intro to new genres in general

@HappyCrow13 @neil Ooooh, that's the best! I remember doing that too, and also making little lumpy "houses" out of the mud and letting the water wash through them like a tiny little river.

@cmconseils@mastodon.social Nope, I refuse to believe this message was intended for most people. They only added it here because they are genuinely concerned about Cookie Monster.
