LightTreeFM, a new compact file manager for Classic AmigaOS, has been released. The tool features an Explorer-like layout with a directory tree on the left and a file list on the right, and does not require MUI or ReAction. It supports copy, cut, rename, delete, archiving (LHA, LZX, ZIP), ADF read and write functions, as well as floppy disk tools.

Amiga Bootcamp: Knowledge database for AmigaOS developers on GitHub
The "Amiga Bootcamp" project has been published on GitHub. It is a comprehensive technical knowledge base for software developers who are already working with AmigaOS 3.1 and 3.2 or are just getting started. The goal of the project is to compile Amiga documentation into a single location.
Amiga emulator: Amiberry 8.1.6
Amiberry is an Amiga emulator by @midwan@mastodon.social based on WinUAE that offers full Amiga compatibility on ARM and x86 hardware.
Version 8.1.6 focuses on platform support, JIT stability, RTG/graphics improvements, Android and libretro fixes as well as safer configuration handling. It also includes upstream WinUAE syncs through 6100b5 and refreshed release CI/package targets.
Dungeon game: NetHack 5.0.0
The dungeon-crawling game NetHack, released in 1987, is now available in version 5.0.0. Please note that save files from earlier versions cannot be loaded with this update.
Version 5.0.0 includes over 3,100 changes. Among other things, the source code now complies with the C99 standard.
"SEUCK" game: Shoot'm Eup Bomberplanes
"Bomberplanes" is a shooter game created back in 1994 using the Shoot-'Em-Up Construction Kit, which the author is now releasing for free via itch.io. A floppy disk image and a WHDLoad installer are available.
Amiga Games That Weren't: Moon Child
The platformer "Moon Child" was developed for the Amiga starting in 1993, but ultimately only a PC version was released - and not until 1997. @gamesthatwerent@mastodon.world introduces the title and explores its development history; there is also a preview of the Amiga version available for download.
Action game: Railblaze
Dion Guy has published a new action game for Amiga PAL systems called Railblaze. The goal is to collect blue orbs across 20 levels while dodging enemy fire to unlock the exit to the next level. Developed in AmiBlitz3, the game runs on any Amiga with 1 MB of RAM.
Amiga emulator: Denise 2.8
Denise is a cycle-accurate, cross-platform emulator capable of emulating the C64 as well as the Amiga 500, 600 and 1000. New in version 2.8 are debuggers and disassemblers for the CPU, memory and custom chips, among other components, as well as support for hard drives larger than 4 GB.
Denise runs on Windows 7 and later, Linux, BSD and MacOS (Intel and ARM).

The open-source file manager Directory Opus 5 is being further developed by @midwan@mastodon.social Version 5.101 is a maintenance and portability release featuring FTP/SFTP upgrades, fixes for file system compatibility, revised documentation, and several improvements to the user interface and stability. AROS is now supported for the first time.

ASM-editor is a modern web application for writing, executing and learning M68K assembler code (and MIPS, RISC-V, X86), which uses the SvelteKit framework and the Rust programming language.
Since our last news item, among other things, an introductory course on general assembly languages and an AI assistant in each editor that takes control of the editor and the emulator have been added.

ZGloom Editor is a Windows program to use modern system features for easier creation of levels for the Amiga first-person shooters Gloom and Gloom Deluxe.
Crowdfunding: Wings of Death - The Reworked Anthology
At the title link Volker Buckow of "The German Remix Group" is raising funds for a soundtrack anthology of the 1990 game Wings of Death.
The reworking is being done in collaboration with the original composer, Jochen Hippel, and is intended to contain the game’s complete soundtrack, including some planned but unreleased tracks.

MorphOS: airScanner 0.65
Tomasz Paul's airScanner - for devices that use the eSCL protocol ("AirScan") versions 2.5 and 2.62 - now allows users to adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness and the black-and-white threshold in version 0.65, provided the scanner supports these features.
Juha 'capehill' Niemimäki has released version 3.4.8 and version 2.32.10 of the SDL multimedia library for AmigaOS 4.

Bildersammlung: Update des Amiga Graphics Archive
In die Sammlung früher Amigagrafiken wurden gestern weitere Bilder aus dem Großen Amiga-Jahrbuch 1987 aufgenommen, welches damals von den Commodore-Niederlassungen in der Bundesrepublik, Schweiz und Österreich herausgegeben wurde.
