A lifetime ago the album "Introducing Neals" was released by #YTcracker, produced by my good friend and #demoscene crew partner @amplitudeproblem@mastodon.social (7an of SYNC in the #atari scene). That album has a certain feel to it in today's environment, wouldn't you say? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCyFdGOdiUw&list=PL-HDMmKpzAR4D9tF7zbSvwLlu0dymkmnq Now go follow @amplitudeproblem@mastodon.social and hit up their Bandcamp: https://amplitudeproblem.bandcamp.com/

“Easy to Learn, Difficult to Master” by David Kushner and Koren Shadmi. A dual biography covering a few years' rivalry between Nolan Bushnell and Ralph Baer during the 1970s, including fantasy gaming encounters between the two. There are a few charming moments, but the one-color artwork is underwhelming. Al Alcorn is drawn as the wrong character on page 51. Possibly #3 in a series of graphic history reviews. #videogames #atari #history #histodons #comic #comics #artwork #graphicnovel #book

Tonight I'm playing one of my favorite #Atari 8-bit arcade conversions, Konami's Gyruss. The excellent Atari port was done by the folks at Parker Brothers and features an awesome Pokey chip version of Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. I'm a bit rusty, but damn it is fun.
