As apart of the journey to find who I am properly, I've started working on videos again to 'achieve' something.

Currently working on some basic gaming videos, but also looking at doing some Motorvlogs when I get going with my CBT and other bits to get on the bike but also looking at vlogging and doing videos in general.

The two channels I'll sometimes talk about on here, might even drop a link to them over time but for the moment, I think I'll keep with minor updates and no links for the moment.

Wordpress is a strange platform try and actually get working with ActivityPub in a meaningful way. While I do enjoy Sharkey I'd love to not have to pay for multiple subscriptions just to run my website and interact with people on the Fediverse.

@grishka@friends.grishka.me You can fine foreign entities if they operate in your country. If they don't obey they can get blocked from the whole UK internet, we currently don't have access to Rule34, PornHub (at least the NSFW area) along with a few other NSFW services at all, others are IDed and illegal content has been made easier for children to find as these safer sites are now wiped out. So the OSA has done a lot more damage than fix.

@grishka@friends.grishka.me @Gargron@mastodon.social It all started with the UK's Online Safety Act, where we now ID for porn sites, the UK Gov has since pushed for IDing on these platforms and it's being pushed out worldwide as it's not cost effective for just one country. It's stupid and is one of the reasons I'm finding alternatives for friends

This is why it's kinda needed on main stores like this as it brings an older or less techy audience to be able to join Signal but yeah it would be good to make sure Microsoft and any other big company doesn't dig there hands into software like this

@staff@mastodon.social This seems really strange especially as there's not really many other solutions to finding lots of content on the fediverse and picking out 'useful' / wanted content. Well I don't use mastodon.social or mastodon.online directly the feed is helpful as I use an alt to mute accounts I really don't want to see and then I pick out accounts and content I do want to see and push them to my instance. Is there anything that could be used to do this instead of one of the biggest instances in the Fediverse? How does a small instance actually get more content on it if not by finding the majority of it on instances like yours?

I've just purchased the domain solent.social as I'm thinking about possibly making that an instance that my friends, family, local business' and more can join.

In the end the local social group could easily start using an instance like that and then move away when they feel like a new part of the Fediverse, different software or anything else makes more sense for them.

I'm not sure if that's the best idea or if I'm just sorta just overstepping with creating this sort of stuff.

The main thing that TikTok had going for it was it was open to both left and right contact and it would show you exactly the content you are interested in due to there algorithm. It being purchased as caused a lot of issues with that feed being laggy and having issues with mostly left wing content spreading what is happening with Ice and stuff. But yeah a endless scroll-able system isn't for everyone obviously.

Spotify saying they are here for artists well actively scraping there content to create AI Slop is kinda stupid. Well I want artists to be paid spotify often doesn't pay them fairly it's one of the reasons I personally try to pay for a direct copy of the music I listen to, to own and use the MP3 in whatever way I see fit (for personal use).
