@Migueldeicaza@mastodon.social@bartt@mas.to Yeah right. We already knew this for ages. And region lookup based on IP. We can do that at least for 40 years. So. What's so scary?
@Sustainable2050@mastodon.energy@wiert@mastodon.social Again. Irregularities from Israeli contestants. Every time there are problems somehow the entry from Israel is related. When is the EBU going to wake up and actually enforce their own rules?
@ionica hahaha ja dat zal haast wel. En ja die op de boot is echt lekker. Vandaag nog een kop gehad. De volgende keer maar de gehaktbal proberen? Die is ook legendarisch.
@hrast@sunny.garden@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu preferably since it tends to enforce antisocial behavior a lot of cyclists already exhibit. But mainly the exorbitant speeds and the increased weight of those endangering other cyclist and pedestrians. The battery is for making riding a bike effortless. Not more dangerous.
That's why I also hate the 'bakfiets' fad of the last five years.
@FranceskAlbs Not to mention that piracy is a crime, forcefully entering a ship is illegal. Scuttling a ship while leaving crew on board is murder. And so on and so on. The time for being 'reasonable' or 'ignorant' is over. In fact it's already over for a long long time.
@Strandjunker let alone the fallacy of trying to categorize him the the dystopian universe of American political sides. Even the staunchest US liberal would probably have a heart attack learning European politics let alone learning the ideas of J of Nazareth - you know - that left wing extremist from Palestine...
@misty@digipres.club@wiert@mastodon.social What we usually call Single Point Of Failure. For laughs: look at a map of what Dutch municipalities use for office software.
@fribbledom@mastodon.social nowadays available DOS memory fits into your browser tab. Progress they call that.
Oh and stop giving me scary memories. I can remember effing around with QEMM and HIMEM.SYS and whatnot. Brrr.
@Larvitz@burningboard.net@petereisentraut@mastodon.social interesting since the NS app also is a little bit opinionated on what trains you have to take. Although it does present a number of alternatives for example if you are traveling from Den Helder to Rotterdam.
One way to foil the app is to plan the separate legs of your trip.
@hrast@sunny.garden@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu The cargo bike thing - battery powered ones are heavy and fast and nowhere near designed to minimize the impact of a collision. Imagine of of those. I suspect they're around 50 kg, then a 25 kg child and an 75 kg grownup speeding along at 25 km/h... If they hit a pedestrian that pedestrain is at least severely injured.
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu what about banning e-bikes, pedelecs, fatbikes and bakfietsen. They are way too fast and way to heavy to be considered safe in a cycling network and do exactly nothing to improve the general health of the EU population.
@bartt@augieray And that is what I mean. Stop hiding behind legalese that does not even hold beyond your own borders. Just address the elephant in the room: the USA is a state of cons, crooks and terrorists. Now go do something about it.
@jeffjarvis demonizing philanthropists. That's a good one. If they were that they would not have the money OR the inclination of owning a second home in the first place because the money would better serve a good cause eh?
