If the posts from an account are not making your experience any better, you should unfollow that account, because ultimately you need to create the experience you want.
You don't owe anybody your time on social media, you must choose to give it freely to them.

Hoe moet ik dat anders interpreteren dan dat u de EU oproept de eigen regels te schrappen omdat de US en China zich niet aan diezelfde regels houden?

@infinimatt@hci.social I miss XML. It had the best of both worlds: the space overhead of a text format coupled with the unreadability of a binary format!
And I always enjoyed doing smart things with XSLT, I just loved puzzling with that language.

Regels dus gaan negeren omdat "hullie het ook doen" slaat juist het hele fundament onder de EU uit. Ik vind het een spectaculair slecht idee.

@MTP@musicians.today When we were packing for our house move, our CDs and DVDs that we had squirreled away in a dark corner of the attic, re-surfaced. We made a conscious decision to be intentional about our music listening: no longer endless un-curated streams, but CDs (and LPs!) that we choose.
We're now again buying new (and old) music and enjoy it much more because we choose in that moment what we want to hear.

@ernstdemoor @MennoOng En het gebruikt ook nog eens net zoveel stroom als heel Amsterdam in een jaar. Als we dat datacenter uitzetten, dan hebben we ook weer een loei van een aansluiting beschikbaar waar we een heel wind & zonnepark op kunnen aansluiten. Gaan overal weer de stroomprijzen omlaag.

@apc@starside.social The first time I encountered the "can't log out of a VR game" trope was with .hack//Sign. It was interesting because it was only one character who could not log out -- the other characters in the anime had 'real lives', which shifts the dynamic.
And there were games made: single-player games that simulated the VR game environment: a game that emulates an anime that is about a game...

Als je software hebt laten ontwikkelen voor een prijs die het je waard was, wat is er dan tegen dat anderen dat ook gebruiken? Jij hebt immers gekregen wat je wilde voor de prijs die je er voor wilde betalen -- en overheden zijn niet elkaars concurrenten.

@ShadowmakerSdR De accounts die ik volg vallen in 2 categorieen uiteen: de mensen waar ik een persoonlijke connectie mee heb, en accounts die dingen posten die ik interessant vind. Die eerste groep zit in een lijst, en die lees ik terug zodat ik (weer) op de hoogte ben. De rest lees ik niet terug, dat komt wel weer een keer voorbij als het echt belangrijk is.

@airakose@mastodon.gamedev.place In the RPG, a spell is a formula with 'arguments' -- the target of a fireball is an argument, the intensity is an argument, etc. The magician can prepare their spells with some arguments already "pre-filled", but others have to be specified upon casting (the system calls these "lynchpins").
And because the characters can travel through different Shadows (basically parallel worlds) and every Shadow has their own way of doing magic, "magic of Shadow" is the most common lynchpin. 2/2

Maar mega-stallen zijn niet de enige manier om vlees te produceren. Je kunt ook varkens houden op zo'n manier dat hun staarten intact blijven, ze elke dag naar buiten kunnen en ze niet in een mega-stal staan.
