@foone@digipres.club Aftershokz turned out way better than I hoped for. They are bone conducting headsets that keep my ears free so the one ear that is capable of hearing through the air, can do it. As a bonus, the ear that can't hear through the air, has enough bone conduction hearing left that I now have slight stereo sensation when listening through the Aftershokz, which is great.

@queen_fennec@mas.to Ik kwam toen met (eigen!) rollator het ziekenhuis uit en was superblij.
Wederhelft had vroeger aversie tegen hulpmiddelen, maar is nu definitief om vanwege de rust die het in je hoofd geeft.
De val van wederhelft kwam door gladheid in combinatie met zenuwproblemen onderin de rug.
Wederhelft gebruikt inmiddels nordic walking stokken bij langer wandelen, een fiets met lage instap om niet te vallen en 3x/week fysio.
Ik heb altijd een inklapbare wandelstok in de auto liggen.

@queen_fennec@mas.to toen we 54 en 52 waren hebben we een levensloopbestendig appartement met lift gekocht. Wederhelft kwam op oudjaar ruim een maand in een rolstoel terecht en dat werkte prima. Heel blij met de keus ondanks dat er zat woonhuizen zijn die qua grootte, kwaliteit of ligging misschien beter zouden zijn. Het fijne van hier is dat we ons nooit meer zorgen hoeven te maken. Die rust is niet te overtreffen.
Zelf gebruik ik sinds mijn 50e inleggers, douchekruk en bed/sofa als ik moe ben.

@Lili@donotsta.re yup, I discovered that back then (I'm that old) but never found any documentation on the MSC file format, not in the MSDN documentation, nor other resources. It still seems largely undocumented, despite some security risks.

Given energy levels, welcome to my life still being alive but having to heavily balance resting with keeping my mind doing interesting things , I plan after the summer to be able to help on this front (two former xs4all, now KPN IP addresses behind ADSL). I print anything to PDF that has to do with account sign up or with transactions. If I got one EURO for any page that renders incorrectly (hiding, clipping, overlaying, partial rendering of information, and refusing to print at all are the top problems but white on white and black on black are also annoying), I would be "rich".

The titanium band bseed ones are more robust that the others (where the earpieces break off over time) and last me about 3 years on average (way longer than wired in ears that I used before.

Odd indeed, and I still think it is caused by the lang=en request cookie being absent or present: the Mastodon preview cards are generated server side without sending cookies.

I tried multiple connections (we have two ISPs at home - hello redundancy) and sometimes it server side remembers the output language. Not sure why yet as I could not reliably reproduce this. This is intriguing. Any ideas?

I think it is setting a lang=en cookie the first time it encounters a lang=en parameter, but does not always return an English translated page unless the lang=en cookie is in the request.
