in short, if what you're giving me is not free or open, and/or you expect compensation for it, then i expect liability. of course this is not a pleasant thing to think about for sellers. for some it doesn't seem to cross their mind at all, and others try to lobby for an ever diminishing liability, but doing this, and that is what i'm getting at, devalues commerce. the whole point of commerce is liability. if you're not liable, then i'm not buying.
