We're still looking for tons of different people in IT, even Juniors, and because the Swiss Market is eating up all of the professionals there's always a chance to get in. It's always more difficult when you are from abroad, but it still might help someone to find something

I have some Steelseries Overear Headphones that have very lackluster anc, and I got some Epos in-ear plug thingies that have the best anc I've ever had. I was in a plane and didn't hear the typical plane motor noises AT ALL!

@schymans@mastodon.social I had good experiences with GrapheneOS, but imho and experience: Most companies and governments are very open for non corpo solutions like a Yubikey or other passkey solutions, or offer their own solutions like special access cards. So far they've always found a solution when I explained to them that I can't have an account with apple or google.
But that might be very country dependend and look different wherever you are located.

@_elena@mastodon.social so now I re-flashed all 3 of my devices with meshcore and it works also great! My repeater is repeating, remote admin works, and my two devices can talk directly to each other and through repeaters with forced routes!
It's interesting that the T1000-E lora tracker is 20% cheaper in a local store, depending on what firmware is flashed on it - MeshTastic or LoraWAN 🤔

For me it is when they were just supportive. "Oh the thing you're doing? I have no clue about it but it seems to make you happy, so I'll listen to you talk about it and support you with your plans [if they are not totally insane]!"
That's basically a trait that I see in all of my ex- partners that I'm still friends with, and of course also with my current partner.
I'm sometimes bad at this though, and I try to be better!

They so often ruined a shirt for the day when I'm trying to drink a smoothie and one last drop dribbles out of the dangling cap (and no, the one I've used so far can't be clipped onto anything) and I personally can't remember any time where I lost a bottle cap.
So a "lessons learned" with the real data would be cool, since I'm just a dude.

@stereo@freiburg.social thanks for mentioning the license of meshcore btw. I didn't know the official apps would need to be bought, which I can't do since I don't have an google or apple account.
I'll probably re-flash to meshcore in the future to get some experience with that. The network model sounds more "sane", although meshtastic seems easier to set up for things like festivals where I'd would want my friends and I to communicate and get gps signals.

When someone asked for a mesh communication tool what I said about bitchat was "Bitchat also works nicely, but I don't trust the Twitter guy".
I'm surprised that non of the recommendations you've gotten has the core thing that makes bitchat interesting: Bluetooth based mesh communication.
I've been looking at lots of different apps and hardware in that direction, and Bitchat was the only one that just works and also works on iOS and Android without the need for extra hardware.

CERN pre-dates the EU and doesn't report to Brussels. Most of it is located in Switzerland, which isn't part of the EU and doesn't use the Euro.
It's an European institution, not an EU one, so it would be weird to be on the Euro.
