@taedryn On the one paw, having labels to put on being aro-ace¹ has been helpful to feel less alone and broken. That didn't change much else as people never seemed too interested in me (or was it the depression making me ignore it?²). If anything, more flirting has been hapening in the last ~6 months than in all my life prior to that 😅 (although I'm bad at recognizing flirting so maybe there was more I didn't see as such?) On the other… I want sex but not with just anyone. There is currently one person I want to have sex with³, and there wasn't anybody for over 10 years before her. So, yeah, not getting what I want and it's frustrating x_x (feeling touch starved makes depression worse as well 🫠) There are times I wish I weren't like that… I don't care if that means no longer wanting sex when I can't have any or if that means being fine with whoever, but one or other, please! >_< Also, possibly unrelated but, so far, I haven't enjoyed sex 😅 Yes, I still want it (partly because I want to please my allo GF⁴, partly because my body asks for it, possibly also because of allonormativity), but it wasn't enjoyable for me with my ex and I don't know it would be any different with someone else (I'm hopeful, though). Also also, I don't enjoy masturbation either. That's only required maintenance that doesn't give any pleasure⁵… there too, I wish I were different, either enjoying it or not feeling the need for it… Maybe bottom surgery would help but I don't always want the same configuration… I need a customization menu to change at will! 1: more like demi- for each (or something close, I'm not totally sure) 2: entirely possible as my ex took 3 days to convince me she was serious about wanting to date me after months of each being interested in the other. 3: in the freaking US, because I can't ever choose the easy path -_- 4: was my ex really allo? Was "she" even really my GF? 🤭 (I won't be surprised in the least if I get a trans CO message some day :') (we still text a couple times a year)) 5: could even be painful some times… don't think it has happened much after starting HRT, though

@dee@social.treehouse.systems I thought it wasn't the right word because Union Medico's are the only ones I found so far loading an external syringe, using this term 😅 I don't think my syringes fit, unfortunately, and I don't really want to buy new ones just yet u_u I might give Union Medico's a try if I don't find another one by the time I use up my box of 100 syringes 😅 (and if I still need it, maybe I'll have gotten good at injections by then)

I have used envy the same way in English a few times but I always explain that there is no resentment/malice associated with that use… would love a better word if you find one. 1: to be clear, it's not a rare thing as we have "j'ai envie de" which is the same as "je voudrais" (I would like)

I probably read other things that I simply can’t think of right now, but that would have been as an adult, I think. I don't know if it wasn't really spoken about in France at the time, or if it was simply not something I was exposed to. I wonder if I met trans people as a kid when my parents were organizing the local Pride from our home. But with how clueless my mom was when I came out to her¹, I don't think there was anyone openly trans among the organizers. 1: my dad is transphobic and enbyphobic, no plan to CO to him any time soon. He'll know at some point but I don't want to deal with that for now.

@mallory_sinn@hachyderm.io Could have figured it out way earlier¹ if I had known about trans and enby people but I only really understood trans-identity in August 2021… and promptly² understood that I couldn't deny it anymore. First CO on TDoR³ 2021 to the only trans girl I knew as such offline. Changed GP in August 2022 to one known to be trans friendly (she even had stopped taking new cis patients) and told her I wanted HRT right from the start. But because I was still so unsure (what if I was faking it to have a reason to say I'm queer⁴? What if taking HRT doesn't help⁵? etc.), I only actually started in November 2022. And had to stop two days later 🫠 Resumed 3 weeks later and haven't stopped since (switched from gel to injections in January 2026) 1: I think I started wanted to be reborn as a girl in 2004 or 2005, although I thought I would be as bad at being a girl as at being a boy 😅 I don't have much memories from before ~2003 so can't talk to my relation to gender prior to that. 2: it "only" took a bit under 2 weeks and going through the GDB (thanks, Jocelyn! (Twipped)) with a highlighter 🙈 Funny enough, I only realised *afterward* that I had been putting myself to sleep for a few months by picturing waking up the next day as a woman and what I'd do 🤭 then I started remembering the previous times I had wanted to be a girl :') (there were no signs!) 3: either worst or best day to do that. 4: my dad is gay (and, I suspect, a transfem in deep denial) and my mom is bi, so I thought I only wanted to belong amongst queer people. 5: it did… applied the first dose of gel in the evening, was already feeling better the next day 🤭
