I admit I still have those moments equivalent to the actor staring right at the camera with the combination vibe of "what the fuck" and "oh, my soul and body" when I see credulous news articles about Canadian Provincial Liquor Boards not buying USA products and COMPLETELY SKIPPING the detail that the LB's don't spend money on products that the people will not buy! Makes no sense for the LB's to pay money to have bottles collecting dust. They can collect dust in the USA for free.

How Mono are handling AI I haven't looked at, but for .NET: Microsoft is as they are. KeePassXC (maintained by the KeePassXC team in C++ using the QT toolkit) announced the use of AI and then clarified the scope later. KeePassXC is a separate project that uses the keepass vault format but it its own thing.

@t3rminus @CursedSilicon In with concurrence. 4-pin fan header is PWM and the proximity of the 8pin package hints strong of being the PWM controller. The proximity of the cap to that 8-pin package points to "decoupling capacitor" and the symptoms you experienced align. Cap failed short, pulled on the the rail too hard causing power to cut. "Bumping" it got enough current to flow that it cause rapid deconstruction and cleared / vaporized the short. Getting the number of the IC would confirm.

It's so low-effort! the haters baffle me because they put so much effort into doing it wrong. I figure that "journaling the mundane" is going to save future historians from many mysteries such as "Where the heck was Punt?" :)

I think it'd be a pip to get the OS/2 machine connected to something again. (Just have to scare up the time to get things together!)

My different experience is that I didn't try the links on the "splash" page, but clicked through the button link at the top to reach wiki.icelist.is. The splash page links are indeed "dead" and not updated to link into the relevant pages in the wiki. This now looks like they converted a 'flat site's into a wiki (much easier to manage at scale) and missed some things in the process. Sorry about missing the details before!
