Here is a before and after, of sorts, of cushions I am making for my deck furniture. I realized, after the fact, I put the new cushion on upside down and have fixed it but have better things to do (like make more cushions) than taking another photo. #HandMade #upholstety #Outdoors #deck

As someone neurodivergent the hardest lesson I've had to learn in my adult life is: virtually no one wants to be called on their shit. If someone wrongs you and you confront them with this then you are the problem. It makes people really angry to be confronted by their bad behavior so naturally, you are the problem, not their bad behavior. If you simply kept your pie hole shut then everything would be fine. It's a hard lesson for a neurodivergent to understand, let alone learn.#neurodivergent
We had town wide yard sales in two area towns today. I found a hand crank radio, stamp set for adding my email to my business cards, a brand new dust mop for my hard wood floors, a tiny desk carousel, a sturdy desk, two deck chairs and two deck ottomans with new cushions all for $8. #Thrifty Yankee

He's reached the age where I have to use the birthday candelabra because I simply can't afford enough candles to represent his age.
I defrosted and cleaned our basement freezer chest and it feels so good. There was so much food in there, I couldn't see what we had in order to cook it. Other than vegetables, diary, coffee and condiments I won't need to shop for a month. And no more chipping away ice to make sure the freezer has a good seal.
And you know what this means? I can make ice cream again because I have somewhere to put it!
I was listening to Satchmo's What a Wonderful World and he got to the line, "I see babies cry. I watch them grow. They'll learn much more than I'll ever know." I thought to myself, this may be the first time in human history that line is wrong. With AI no one has to learn anything and that makes me sad.

I've tried to refrain but I absolutely must share with you how to make these Cappuccino Icebox Cookies. They are that tasty and convenient to make.
Gather: .25 t (teaspoon) powdered instant coffee; 1 t vanilla extract; 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature; .5 cup sugar; .5 cup packed brown sugar; 1 t ground cinnamon; 1 large egg; 1.5 cups all purpose flouf;.25 cup shivered almonds
In a tiny bowl dissolve coffee in vanilla.
With a mixer, cream butter until smooth. Add sugars & spice. 1/...

1 oz dry gin
3/4 oz elderflower liqueur
1/2 oz creme de cassis
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz orgeat
Shake vigorously. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Funny how close the ingredients are to what you posted (though portions are different).

@Zumbador I like the term neurodiverse, at least for myself. Also, the longer I live the more I subscribe to the notion that everyone is different. Just because most people behave differently and react to stimulus differently than I do doesn't make them "normal." Maybe this is how the species is evolving and we're more evolved that the rest of society. Everyone should be sensitive to the needs of others regardless of their neurological status.

I just do my best to stay away from them. When in forced proximity, I am polite but no more. I think this gives them food for thought more than anything.

I was speaking about times people have clearly done me wrong and I have spoken up in my defense, in order to not be trampled upon. Even when approached with delicacy, it hasn't worked out for me. It gets turned against me. It makes me an easy door mat for others.
I love escargot. It's not easy to find it on menus in New England but I can. The problem is, they cut up the meat and a serving may only be two or two three snails in six shells. For people who eat escargot, is this common where you are?
