@wwwgem @fedops I only learned about jj arrange from their last release notes. That interactive TUI to move commits around is great! 🤩

@euphoriagremlin@retro.pizza Frieren has been mentioned multiple times and is truly wonderful. If you like it, you might also enjoy The Apothecary Diaries. 🙂

@westhisup@gamepad.club Happy birthday Birdie! 🥳

@jake4480@c.im @82mhz@mastodon.bsd.cafe I'm using GoatCounter. It was super easy to set up and just a single line to add it to the page. I was really surprised to see that I'm getting around a hundred visits per week. 😅

@82mhz@mastodon.bsd.cafe Thanks for featuring rss-tooter. 😊 It's a simple thing, but I'm pretty proud of what I made. There's always a significant spike on my website metrics when you link to my blog. 😁

@chris@mstdn.games One of us! One of us! One of us!

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza It varies for me from game to game. I liked playing StarFox in 3D, because I found it much more immersive. The OoT remake / remaster did a great job with the 3D effect too, but I eventually turned it off after halfway through the game. Not sure if I really started getting headaches or if I was just over it at the time.

@Sobtanian@mstdn.games Fair enough. I didn't keep up with it at the time and never bothered to look it up.

@HailsandAles@metalhead.club Hell yeah!! Another perfect day is my favorite Motörhead record and I never see it mentioned anywhere. Hidden gem indeed! 😁

@dosgameclub This is a great episode. I'm listening to it right now. I never heard of ZZT before and I still don't know what it looks like, but it sounds amazing. 🤩

@hollie Great write-up. I'm enjoying mine a lot too and use it almost every day. The only thing that really bothers me is that syncing progress between Crosspoint and KOReader is so, so, sooo bad. 😩 I switch devices when I go to bed, because I need the backlight of the Kindle. But whenever I switch I need to skim around to find the place where I left off. It's often more than 20 pages off the mark. I wish somebody would look into it. I took a look at the code myself, but it looked like gibberish to me. 😅

@questlog@mstdn.games Looks great. 🤩

@GamesMissed That is amazing!!! 🤩 I rarely borrow books, but of course the books I buy might have DRM that has to go. I'll see if I can use this on my phone. Then I don't have to fire up my PC just to remove DRM, before I can start reading a book I bought.

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza also, everybody finds different bits and pieces relevant. People are different, so it's impossible to present them all with the same information-lossy summary and have them get the same deep understanding.

@fastjack25@rollenspiel.social Danke. 😊 Die Kinder hatten große Freude dran.

@wimsey@mastodon.social Total. Die konnten gar nicht genug vom Video bekommen und haben sich jedes Mal kaputt gelacht. 🤣

@joel Ok, what the hell. I'll bite (or rather I've bitten). It does look much better than the default file browser. I don't need to see the home screen every time I start it, but it is very pretty. 🙂 I thought it would change my reading layout too, but I'm glad to see that it doesn't. This is really cool. 👍

@edhelangas Oh no. I hope you feel better soon.

@carlosefr@mastodon.social That's an interesting question. I never really had any second thoughts playing a female character in games. However, I did tend to specifically pick female characters in RPGs and it took me a while to get rid of the "people might think this is weird" feeling when I had friends watching.

@fedops @wwwgem It's so much better than Git!!! I use it for almost everything nowadays. There are only very few Git commands left that I still need. And I keep finding new and cool things in Jujutsu and they keep adding more with almost every release.

@alex@gamerstavern.online Oh man! Guitar battles!!! 🤘

@82mhz Alright! I'm in — even if my site looks incredibly ugly and now has a double navigation bar (horizontal and vertical) that I can't hide. 😅

@GaymerGeek@mstdn.games happy happy birthday!!! 🥳

@chatcontrol@mastodon.social the combination of rejected, passed, one vote and rejected in one sentence makes my head spin. 😅 It's almost as bad as listening to Alvina the cat in Dark Souls (sorry, had to pull the reference). So if I understand correctly, the end result is that Chat Control 1.0 will not be extended again?

@jefklak nooooooooooooooo!!! 😩

@jefklak I get that. I finished it yesterday and put the Deck down in stunned silence. I couldn't sleep for hours afterwards. 😅

@jefklak I loved Kathy Rain!!! I've been meaning to replay the Director's Cut and still have the sequel bought and ready to play. Too many games, too little time. 😩

New blog post: "Write better commit messages" One of the most valuable things that I was taught as a software developer, is to write “good” Git commit messages. Obviously “good” is very subjective, so let me dive into it a bit. I want to explain what I think a “good” message is, but also why I think it’s relevant that you write a good message. @jefklak I'll keep it in mind. Old Skies is next on my list. I've played every Wadjet Eye game after I got hooked on the Blackwell series and the newest one is the only game I haven't played yet. I feel like I'm letting Dave down. 😅

@joel I really hope somebody will someday vouch for my blog to be made by a human (or sheep, I'll take that as well). wink, wink, nudge, nudge 😅

@bearmine I don't know if it has all the features you want, but I use Readeck for bookmarks.

@jefklak I'm happy that you like it. There's no worse feeling that giving something a glowing recommendation and other people are like "meh...". 😅

@repeatro@mastodon.social ... Phoenix Wright or even Ghost Trick??? I definitely recognize it, even recognized it from the shorter sample, but I can't place it. 😭

@joel thanks. 😊

@Gamrok Time for Legend of Grimrock 2!!! 🥳

@jefklak holy shit indeed. 😬 I had to shut it off for a few hours, because it's so intense. I played mostly one chapter at a time.

@euphoriagremlin@retro.pizza 🫂

@Sobtanian@mstdn.games I don't quite remember and I'm not willing to look it up again. Pretty sure he was abusing women.

@odium___ @gamerlady I was going to suggest ShadowDark. There are tons of TTRPGs out there with much lighter rules. And those are also easier to learn and run, IMO, if you're scared of the additional effort. It's probably just as much as learning a complex boardgame. I still play D&D every now and then, but I totally get that it might be too heavy. No reason to give up TTRPGs completely. 😊

@joel I'm reading Network Effect by Martha Wells, book 5 from the Murderbot series with KOReader on my hacked Kindle Paperwhite Gen... Old as shit? 😅

@f0rrest@mstdn.social Less serious reading like... Descartes. 🤣 @chris@mstdn.games

@chatcontrol@mastodon.social nevermind, I confirmed it elsewhere. 😁

@Sobtanian I'm with you. I haven't listened to the album in ages, but it is a really good compilation. Not gonna say the obvious, but that's basically why I'm taking a pass on that album nowadays.

@thorsten Die Aura des üblen Gestanks. Minus X auf Charisma, bis man mindestens 3 Stunden gebadet hat. 😅 Ich glaub das hab ich von Munchkin geklaut.

@82mhz Thanks for the shoutout. 😊 Now I really need to dig into that 6.5h CSS video too. 😅

@Sobtanian@mstdn.games It looks awesome! 🤩

@joel @GamesMissed I've read a bunch of Poirot books, but I always found Miss Marple much more likeable. 🙂 @amin

@jefklak I've had my eyes on SKALD, but it feels like too big of a time commitment right now. I am always down for horror that I know can be turned off. But I can understand that it's not really the escape we need right now. 😩
