@maddy@thegayagenda.fans this is why I’m on iphone. Apple is also deeply engrained in their phones but I made the decision that I trust Apple more than Google. (Read: don’t trust either). I’d seriously consider a new degoogled android if it ever happened. As in a phone OS not integrated with anyone.

I do wonder what the archival resilience is of tapes are. BD-R claims 100 years, but I also know a ton of CDs that claimed that have already started to rot.

The next step is to put some kind of abstraction over the codes and I’m mulling over what kind of abstraction I want. Do I just want something that has more descriptive names like: cursor.previous_line(2) Or do I want something that actually tracks state and you can tell to move to the start of you print block? Or do I do both? With one as a layer on the other?

All of this I didn't even realize until I started working with ffmpeg that is notorious for never shutting down on a SIGTERM (or taking forever to). To the point that ffmpeg is setup to take addition SIGTERMs and kill itself if it receives 3 of them.

I solved it by having the resource __exit__() kill the subprocess on a second ctrl-c, but now I'm realizing that should be a setting that defaults to sending additional SIGTERMs to the subprocess, with an option in shelltastic to kill instead.

Looking at this completed page I think the only thing I did “wrong” and wish I could change is the snail. Hey should be a different color be I’m not sure what to be honest.

Yeah it’s definitely too brown, but none of the other colors were making sense to me.

It’s also great when you have enough Ethernet ports at your central switch to light up all the ports in your house and you can just plug into any port in any room without having to think about it.
