I get really put-off by all this snarky, performative "sportsball" mockery, as if sports are only for dumb jocks and beneath the consideration of me, the vaunted intellectual (i.e. "person who sits online all day").
Athletes are artists. Artists of the human body and of physics. What makes that any less worthwhile of an endeavor than some pedantic nerd shit?

When federal masked ICE thugs executed Renee Good and Alex Pretti in the streets of Minneapolis and their nightmare scenario finally came true, they had to twist themselves into so many knots trying to justify why it's ok when Trump does it and don't worry it's not like that other thing we were talking about at all.
Labels are useful for finding other likeminded people. Other than that, I just advocate for what I think is right and try to be virtuous.
