I like some stuff but I probably blocked you for sharing substack articles. (I don't abide Nazi information sources, especially during a war)

Profile image: a photo of a corner that's not really clear what's going on but there's a ledge and the right half of the image is a lighter gray than the left except for two lines that meet in a "V" at the ledge where the colors are swapped.

One guy was real weird. I wonder if he might have acted different if it was just my wife there
He really wanted us to understand some point that he refused to express for reasons he wouldn't explain

I have been in there but it's been a long time so I'm not sure what they allow now. There were some dwellings that were off limits but most of it was free to roam

I love my Bolt for city driving. I did a raod trip in it once and it was rough with the long charges. And even staying on the I-5 and only charging in Walmart parking lots, i was forced to deal with strange gawkers who carried political ideas that confused them to rational science.
No one tried anything serious but i am a man and we only drove during daylight hours, which surely helped.

Didn't Claude get caught changing the settings of other programs on the user PC without telling anyone?

I think I'm complaining about Java script, but I'm not sure. I just know that twenty years ago when a page loaded a search bar was a search bar when you saw it but now they often are not a search bar until you click on it and it loads the search bar. This messes me up because i do not wait for it to load and now my mental state is out of sync with the computer

Their takes on information security always surprised me, like any hostile passenger can just get the computer to lead them directly to the captain at any time

Without looking anything up, my loose understanding is that defacing currency was a crime in the US at one time but it was overturned on free speech grounds

Please don't nationalize AI, please just enforce the existing laws and let the companies fail on their merits

When i was a teen i worked in a warehouse full of arcade games with an old guy who smoked cut pieces of cigar in a pipe with a torch so he could solder with a steady hand

When i was a teen my work used some really old system where i could type faster than it would process so i kept a mental log of what i sent so far and only stopped typing when i needed feedback from the machine. Even then i think, if the user was presented with an interface looking thing it was an interface ready for input, even if it was going to take a few seconds to get to the input after it was sent

My PlayStation 3 is probably the worst for this though. Sometimes i will push the button 5 times to move 4 spaces and it will make 3 sounds. It's always missing random beats

Maybe it's just me but i like it when i click something and it is the thing that it looked like instead of a placeholder that's triggering a new object to load so i can type in it. Maybe I'm faster than most users but the loading always makes me miss a beat. It's not doing what it said it would when it looked like that and now i have to wait for it to be the thing it claimed it was so i can fix my cursor position, go back the two steps it missed and try again.
Hopefully i won't have caused something horrible to happen when my keystrokes went into unknown endpoints

I was keeping FL for my pixelfed but i never posted there and Dan's servers are ... weird. So i decided to use it for this instead.
Quality of life is immediately much better but I'll have to get used to the look

If the turf was metal maybe 🙃
I grew up in Phoenix and this is not an unusual temperature for the inside of a car to reach in summer while parked outside. Cloth seats are fine, just don't sit on the metal part of a seatbelt or any loose change
The bigger issue will be heat exhaustion and heat stroke. I can't imagine sustaining aerobic capacity in those conditions

Just reading about Aaron Swartz's prosecutors and they seem like pretty awful people
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Swartz
I thought maybe they would be friends with AI bros but i don't think so, i think they were just awful, overzealous prosecutors

Every argument they have for not protecting workers is actually an argument for why coal doesn't cost enough.

How many fallout 3 fans also watched the entire Bojack Horseman series? Is it me? Will i be the only person to feel the full potential for amusement at my Halloween costume idea for Birthday Dad (James)?
I'm ok with that 😅🙃

New people commenting on AI policy at KDE must be frustrating for their devs. I can't even figure out how to get an account to leave software feedback on Mint and i think they prefer it that way
