Replying to

@mitchellh@hachyderm.io I agree to a certain extent, but there aren't many people who know or accept those boundaries. In addition, alot of people do not posess the skill to have the skill to improve quality out of slop. Also, the industry marketing does not nourish the way you described, they promote some fire and forget tactics. That all is besides ethical and ecological concerns in regards to training and such.

DeltaChat really has some nice multi-device and reliability features. Wonder why so few people use it.

Replying to

@allpurposemat@mastodon.gamedev.place I have a FLX1S and overall i am happy with alot. The waydroid integration is nice, besides sound i am not missing much. But on the linux side, it has a very old kernel and so on. Also not being mainline is useful to get people on board, but long term is not sustainable. @furilabs@fosstodon.org

Replying to

@allpurposemat@mastodon.gamedev.place I think the momentum and velocity on mainline projects like PMOS is higher at the moment than on UBPorts. So in the next 2-3 years the app ecosystem will overtake the "niche" UBPorts. I really hope for a good E-Mail client aswell, but it is a big effort. Maybe also Furilabs will share some of their waydroid fork to get GPS working, should that work without halium. #UBPorts #PostmarketOS #FuriLabs @katzenmann@c3d2.social @thelinuxEXP@mastodon.social

What could go wrong when we let CoPilot write our unit tests.

If you let them write it after development even just to get coverage.

Big LoL.

Replying to

@ppulfer@mastodon.ie I really like some parts of the phone and OS, but i dislike others. Pro:

good android support (best waydroid integration on the market)
Good hardware support

Con:

really old kernel
halium and not mainline
i basically have to install nix ot other package managers because of a very small repository
