People always ask: 'How do you do it?'

The answer is simpler than you think. We just opted out. We live without credit cards, PayPal, Amazon, and Gmail. We replaced Microsoft, Booking, Meta, X, Nike, and every other US brand. We don't use Android, Windows, or Apple or any other brand.

It’s been over two years now, and we’ve completely escaped American surveillance and tech colonization.
I can honestly say: life without them is GREAT!!!!

Ho appena litigato con un medico del #CannabisMedicalCenter che mi chiedeva di inviargli dati personali, analisi e referti tramite WhatsApp.

Io: "Mi scusi, non invio dati sensibili su WhatsApp (che tra l'altro non ho). Se vuole, possiamo usare DeltaChat, che è più in linea con i miei standard di privacy."

Il medico: "Mi spiace, noi lavoriamo solo ed esclusivamente tramite WhatsApp."

Io: "La ringrazio, mi tengo i dolori e cercherò un professionista più attento a dove finiscono i miei dati sensibili. Arrivederci."

Alla fino ho trovato la mia pace dei dolori grazie a CLINN, gente professionale che al contrario del cannabis center non sembrano spacciatori di strada ma veri e propri dottori concentrati sui nostri mali e non su come li DEVI contattare..

I see people thinking Linux or GrapheneOS will bypass chat control or age check. As seen with Ubuntu&CA's AB 1043, laws target OS providers. An "illegal" OS won't work: apps and browsers will demand the mandatory age signal, or the OS itself might block access to avoid fines. VPNs? Useless when USA, EU, and Canada etc enforce agechecks globally
If this madness passes, let's fight back and turn every device into a weapon of digital disobedience. Imagine an 'outlaw' OS mod appending a 'payload of forbidden words' (hidden in metadata) to every message
If millions sent these 'poisoned' messages, Chat Control would collapse under false positives
Risk: Could they brick our phones? Yes. But if millions get blocked simultaneously? Instant economic blackout. It's Mutually Assured Destruction: they can't ban everyone.
If everything is suspicious, nothing is

Le app bancarie funzionano come tutto il resto; l'unica cosa che non funziona sono i pagamenti contactless tramite NFC, perché le banche vogliono che usiamo un portafoglio americano, che noi ci rifiutiamo di usare. EUDI Wallet potrebbe cambiare le cose se i governi europei smettessero di imporci sistemi operativi americani come unica soluzione...

App statali Olandesi mi funzionano ma qui sono un po piu aperti/sensibili alla questione sistema operativo alternativo/libero anche se l'uso con EUDI Wallet e' in dubbio anche da queste parti perche dovra essere deciso immagino a livello europeo..

However I just tested this by installing DeltaChat on a LinuxPC and opened an account just by entering a nickname. You're absolutely right, nothing is required at all. Thank you for pointing this out to me, I'll fix my post right away! Thanks again.

I don't have any trouble finding and installing other features, but we need a built-in feature that's as easy to use as the rest of the app, because explaining to people how to make calls can be difficult—many people don't understand.
