Snippets from the last few days since we’ve been home. Birthday cake baked on Sunday. A Chinook sunset. Taco! I met him yesterday. He’s blind but kept coming back for more pets and scratches because he could hear us talking. 🥰 Finally, yesterday’s roasted veg/hummus pita pizza. #food
Spent 45 min cleaning up the garden. I might have to add some stuff this year. 🤔 🪴

uhm I needed to make some cookies for a charcookie board tomorrow so I figured I’d make extra to bring for friends at rope figure drawing (and also for family ofc) and then sent the photos to V.

it’s my birthday and we got bad news about kiddo’s schooling for next year so it’s just. Yeah. The day was good till that happened but I’m just sitting here feeling really bleak. Was really hoping this could help him.

@rasterweb@mastodon.social I’m sorry you’re going through it (fellow cortisone shot spine person here, bulging disc impinged on my nerve bad enough to damage nerves all the way to my fingertips, at its worst). I didn’t start to have really good effects from the shot till about two weeks after, then it did help me intensify my physio a lot which became a positive feedback loop. I hope your doctor has some support to offer. Otherwise, just deep sympathy for something that really sucks :(

I composed a whole message about therapy stuff and then forgot to post it, wow. Anyway I met with the travel agent yesterday and she had a lot of advice. The thing she can’t decide for me is how to break up the trip. Right now I’m kinda sitting at London/York/Edinburgh but every time I try to write it down I go: “but that’s not enough days in London, is it…?” 🥲
@troublewithwords@wandering.shop 😅 If possible I’d try to get a new touch up paint. You could try to reconstitute it (I wouldn’t hazard a guess with it seeing the jar about which solvent?) but you’re liable to get a better result from fresh. (source: knows about paint, not cars)

@rasterweb@mastodon.social 13 weeks? Ugh. In my experience, physio was absolutely essential to my recovery. I still go every three weeks or when the pain flares worse (initial injury was in 2023). I hope you hear back soon too!

For context, you score one point per flower bloomed (8 if you bloom all of them) and then a point for every leftover tile. It's possible but very unlikely to get a score of 21, I think? Our previous high score was 15.

also, on a personal note completely aside from my rope skills - three months ago I would've never been strong enough to do all of this, grab the rope and haul myself up, hook my arm around the ring, etc. I feel so strong and good in my body rn. It's awesome. 💜 She's good body.

@kadomi It's a lovely cooperative game! I recommend it. The standard edition is perfect to put in a purse and bring along to a cafe and then play with as many people as you like. 😍

@rasterweb@mastodon.social I dislike anything getting my hands dirty too! I use gloves for gardening, cleaning gloves for dishes, and disposable box of gloves in the kitchen for handling meat or dough. 😬
