Yesterday sucked. No power all day long, then when it came back at night, no internet until 3am or so.

Looks like things are OK now.

I am working on fixing the cert on my creative blog, it will take some time (tech inept here). <3

Side note, I'm offline ONE day, and Firefox updated and now I hate it. -.-

My WIP is a rainbow sock - and once that is done I think a vest in a green tweed I've been saving.

One of the good results of a power outage all day / evening is that I finished reading Hemlock & Silver (T. Kingfisher) loved it. Not my typical genre, so I gave it a 4/5 as it was a great book but just not quite there for me personally. Still, really enjoyed.

It doesn't seem to matter what she writes, I am just a big fan of her style in general - and if I enjoy the genre (Paladin series for example) easy 5 star.

I had two partially filled bobbins that have been sitting for a while, so I decided to ply the merino & alpaca together and free up 1 bobbin + make room for more alpaca. It's REALLY soft and plush. It will rest for a bit, then onto the niddy noddy. I'm thinking of dying with avocado, for a dusty rose.

New day, new blog post. We're wrapping up week 40 in gold making, with a profit of 2.3 million gold.

Managed to fit in a bit of soloRPG tonight, playing through Cartograph still. I ended up in (yet another) forest, called Dancing Timberland. Gained some rep, gained some food. Trip was expedited for unknown reasons.

The pencil parts of the map are unexplored but do exist as exploration options. The coloured locations are fully explored. Dotted line shows my path.

Fantastic game for those who enjoy mapping RPGs.

Weekend goal accomplished, I have caught up with the story in #WorldofWarcraft, ready for the next bit!

What a weird day.

I mentioned last year the grocery delivery person asked if they could have my poppies growing in my flower bed and it threw me off.

Well, today, unprompted (no delivery) they came by with a friend. They said a friend of theirs had died, and they asked if they could have my poppy seeds that are in my flower bed.........

Husband was the one who answered the door this time, so he said nope, and said sorry for your loss. Then I went and ripped out the flowers.

Big huge thanks to the artist who reminded me that it's OK that my sketchbook is a disaster and doesn't showcase anything finished or awesome - it's a place for ideas.

I see so many beautiful finished pieces done in sketchbooks and then these incredible sketchook tours and it's so easy to compare myself. This isn't a slight against those types of sketchbooks, either. I just don't work that way, and sometimes it can make me feel bad.

6:15am, sure why not treadmill + post auctions on the #WorldofWarcraft AH at the same time...

Goblin gonna goblin.

Happy World of Warcraft Forever beta day! :D

(Pssst, @belghast@gamepad.club still really miss you, friend, especially at days like this)

#WorldofWarcraft

I bought some washi tape sticker paper and then spent way too long printing out adorable stickers for my planners >< Not a bad way to spend an evening tbh.

My other half is not on socials at all, but today is 10 years married (15 together) and honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

New day, new blog post (miss that?) - A little write up about World of Warcraft Forever: https://pixelnomad.ca/2026/09/13/wow-its-blizzcon-weekend/

New day, new blog post! It's time for my weekly World of Warcraft gold making wrap up. This week brought in profits of 1.5 million gold - not great, but not bad either.

New planner season is upon us, and I think I've finally settled on my 2027 line-up. I know a lot of people are angry with #hobonichi this year, but I'm still a fan.

Going with an A5 cousin AVEC, and getting a blank notebook (for art) so the cover will have the blank + 1 of the AVEC in it. Wanted a pencil board, too. Going with 'An Airport at Night' since all the Hello Kitty stuff is Japan only and I don't want to deal with that mess.

And on the #blaugust side of things, hey, it's a digital painting, who would have guessed. https://quailcreations.ca/?p=580

Idle Champions has a 9 year anniversary event starting, so if you were thinking "Hey, maybe I'll get back into that..." it's a good time. ^^

If you've never played before, but you enjoy spreadsheets, and enjoy idle games.. chance are you will highly enjoy this one (plus, come on, it's Dungeons and Dragons... familiar settings / characters).

@Gazimoff@gamepad.club Not sure what's up but I've been having lots of issues with gamepad lately, it keeps wiping notifications, and still spamming me with 504 errors.

Just wanted to let you know in case anyone else was having issues...

Book review: The Beheading Game, by Rebecca Lehmann

A retelling of Anne Boleyn, as a .. vengeful queer zombie.

Written really well, but the story was just too nonsensical for me. 2/5 stars
