I will mostly likely star the post showing your bicycle :)
And #nobots
The last speaker said we need to be in space for the future of our species. 10000 years from now.
I think we need to learn to be kind. Right now.
Really nice to see all the bikes at the #portersquare shopping center this morning!
#cambridgema
It was cooler than I expected (wrong clothes alas) and I had to dodge the Ward 3 garbage collection folks but I had a nice ride :) It was good to be moving in spring.

I had to take a break from sitting inside. And look what I found! Keep going, friend.
Okay, wow, I really struggle to switch back to past tense for action when dialogue is in present tense, but I have finished a rough draft of a short story!
This is the first thing I've finished in a long time, so it feels really good.
This is making me cry this morning:
"These are things I know and will continue to know until the weight of the evidence convinces me otherwise: the Earth is warming due to human activities, this warming is already responsible for human suffering, and it can be stopped through human action."
"It can be stopped through human action" won't stop resounding through my head.

And Ken Liu worked in (what I took to be) a No Kings reference so that was cool.

OMG has the moderator read any scifi written this century? He's name checked EE Doc Smith, Simak, Brin, Asimov.
So ugh.
#BeyondTheCradle
This week's writing was a lot of finishing up before I take a rest. (Excepting the nonfiction, which is circling in WAITING mode sigh.) I finished up a draft of the hard scifi story. I fleshed out two more parts of the CYOA pitch. And I revised the phlox/equinox rhyme back into the poem draft!

Mom and little one walk out of school as I come up sidewalk behind them.
Mom: No, sweetie, bikes aren't good for the winter. Like sandals. Mama doesn't wear her sandals in the winter.
Mom looks at me and down at my feet. I am wearing sandals.
Mom: Those are my sandals. I have those exact ones!
I just wish she'd told her kid it's okay to bike in the winter.
Wow! Roadrunner! (Not my personal everyday experience so super cool.)

I thought the magnifying glass was an excellent feature :) Look at that zoom!
Okay I have been finished w listening to the *commercialization* of LEO, health benefits notwithstanding, for like 20 minutes now.

This week's writing was all over the map. I finished up a draft of the nonfiction piece. I wrote out to the end of a rough draft of a scifi short story. Today I managed a terrible first draft of a poem with a rather strict form (an ovillejo). Whew.

@jkcheney@wandering.shop I guess that's where other writers' opinions come in? I can't know what other people find inevitable unless I am using a trope. Hmm :/
@jkcheney@wandering.shop Hmm. I guess I was wondering whether your writer-self ever thought of ideas for improving the ones that frustrated you? (Sorry for delayed reply; health issues.)
