(I haven't done anything on a stage in years now.) I'm performing. I don't talk like that normally. I don't have that posture normally. I also definitely don't hard-focus on everyone's every words for that long while trying to remember that I have a fucking dumpster-fire occurring I need to actually go work on.

@DarthSn3ak3rs@infosec.exchange There is a lot more weight to the self-diagnosis than you believe. I've had that very discussion with a lot of people that went and got a formal diagnosis. It doesn't mean you're right, but you know you very well by this point. If you bring these observations and concerns to a doctor, that's worth anything, they will listen to you.

@DarthSn3ak3rs@infosec.exchange Finding out what you're dealing with is a huge thing. I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until my 30s and it changed my life for the better. I couldn't hold a job, because I'd get SO BORED after "mastering" it quickly and running out of growth opportunities and learning. All of the issues that you have suddenly make sense and you can learn mitigation tools, coping mechanisms (HEALTHY ONES), etc. Knowing what you're fighting is big. I will always stand by that.

Nothing like they are, but I'm no slouch. I can't do more than a couple miles tops. It's just too much. The air is just death.

@DarthSn3ak3rs@infosec.exchange Since my diagnosis and subsequent treatments (cognitive and medicine) it has made it better, but it doesn't get rid of it. You just know what you're dealing with and I can't stress enough how much of a difference it makes rather than wondering "Why am I like this?"
