@bandywillow@mastoart.social Nah, feel free to break the bad movies... #Monsterdon is about breaking bad movies. Oddly, sometimes the bad movies aren't that bad at all. I ended up showing up about the time (just after) the main feature ended. And it seems like tonight's choices either just weren't for folk, or whatever. Don't worry. Folk can ignore the tag, or whatever. I sort of tried to watch the double feature, but it wasn't working for me.

@benroyce@mastodon.social @etenil@toot.cat @redsad@ohai.social Photoshop has become legitimate way to fake things? I don't know. I mean... Faking things, pretending they're real... Not cool. But isn't this a GIMP/Photoshop/Krita/whatever? I do kind of hate the fake AI stuff, but I also wonder how much of the critique is like this, or, "I don't like it, so it must be AI." I don't like people using AI, but they're going to.

@fribbledom@mastodon.social That's the best retro vibe. And honestly yeah, I might actually think that because I'm running something that isn't laggy. I mean, when I first was using computers it was important to consider memory and cpu and all of that. Now... I don't know, is there any demo scene or such?

@luciedigitalni@aus.social I oddly have little worries for billionaire's feelings. I mean, I don't want them to do bad things, but honestly if they can't take that people are rude, then... why would I care? I doubt anyone is really being rude really. At least not anything I'd call rude, but apparently Finnish folk songs have bad words in them. Heck, so do American ones.

The #MonsterdonDoubleFeature wasn't bad, but um, I'm up for credits now... Are the credits coming? Like, I was enjoying it, until the end. Ah, that's often a fault, don't know how to end things. Maybe it's just me. But the acting... So much was "wow I guess you don't care about the world ending at all..."

@rothko@beige.party @overholt@glammr.us The "information" in the literal text, isn't the only information contained even in a brand new book. Even from that perspective, the scanning, and destroying the book, is destroying information. No idea what titles this involved, because it might change my mind. I own books that I'd be willing to throw in the fire. Not as a "book burning, censorship" thing. But as in, "this book was so bad, but at least it can keep me warm." Personal judgement, nothing more.

Spent time on the deck... John Steinbeck what the heck is East of Eden I'm so confused...

I wanted to just hang out, and enjoyed my time out there.

I mostly did that. I mean I did read and all that.

Had some decent food. There is a strong suspicion that the olive oil is not. At fridge temperature it still is very much liquid. This is not what I expect of olive oil.

Got started with laundry. I think that what I've done (with minor tweaks) is what I'll be doing in regards to that. I really felt I needed to do laundry, running low on stuff, taking it down, it was pretty clear "something is more than what I expect".

Ah, yeah, weird stuff with not really feeling terribly great. Dishes need to be done. I tried to get some of that done last night, and sort of got some done. I'm not sure still trying to sort that out.

Anyway, going to try to get to bed.

Thank you everyone. Take care.

@rootsandcalluses@mstdn.social I'm afraid a lot of people just aren't even really aware that things are bad, until they get far too bad. I've certainly seen it with people who I deal with regularly. I've seen it with myself. I don't usually step far from safe spaces until I've done a fairly reasonable test to see if it seems like I could accomplish things in the conditions. I feel I'm saying things far too round about. But leaving it like this for now.

@trinitybat@opencoaster.net Well, there's basically a two options, there's a owncast live stream at https://miru.miyaku.media/ which usually works, or you "tune in" with your own watching. Live tooting is encouraged. Then some people watch simply by following the hashtag on the night. One "issue" I have had (and really it's not a serious one) is sometimes finding the #Monsterdon movie can be difficult. Two things there, actually finding a way to watch it (Though I think it's on US Tubi.tv, though sometimes it goes away unexpectedly), and being able to find what the movie is if I haven't noted it, because I just am not paying attention, takes a few steps (but not impossible). Not complaints, it's great what happens. Most of that is my brain just not working well for things, and that's fine...
