I created an #emacs minor mode to animate the #cursor and make it "breathe", being both easier to see and looking cool. Check it out!

Little #watercolor #sketch at the pond while fishing. Pen is an opus 88, but I don't remember the model. #fediart #art

@benroyce@mastodon.social @redsad@ohai.social YouTube didn't exist in 1918! So if it's there it must be AI!
(I'm kidding, couldn't resist)

@carnage4life@mas.to amusingly, replacing managers with LLMs seems to work a whole lot better. And they're usually paid more to deliver less... Go figure...

@janantos@f.cz @carnage4life@mas.to your objection has merit. I did think about this and my take is that I would side with an LLM's choice more than the prejudiced/political/what-i-feel-like-today's choice of a human manager.
But I get that everyone has had different experiences that inform their judgement.

@kickingvegas@sfba.social just gave eglot rename a try. It really works well: simply place the point on the symbol to rename, enter M-x incantation and the new name and tadaa, Emacs/eglot does the rename project-wide. Easy peasy. I think I'll use it more!

@kickingvegas@sfba.social I'm surprised there's no refactoring commands based on LSP (eglot) or treesitter... Oh there are some!

@screwlisp@gamerplus.org it's the morning of a work day so it'll need to wait. I've avoided thinking of game concepts haead of time. At least I've a game engine ready to go!

@witchgirls@woof.tech I've stopped reading lobster.rs etc. For the same reason. Nowadays I mostly read about tech and programming things from people I follow on the fediverse.

@organicmaps@fosstodon.org I'm no longer using anything from google, the cost is too great, for just a little more convenience. Organic maps is brilliant and very useful, especially off road where google maps is terrible.

From son's #school:
> Children will also have access to Microsoft CoPilot as the school’s preferred AI option. AI can be used to aid learning but must be referenced if used in any homework to avoid accusations of malpractice.
Why would kids need a LLM to do their homework and assignments? And why do parents need to manage their school-issued #devices??

@bagder@mastodon.social I'd imagine there's a lot of devices that still don't have any networking capability that likely don't have any curl or openSSL. Things like music players and such. So probably libz or sqlite.
