It’s easy to dismiss internal signals that something is too much and just try to cajole oneself into bucking up or being more mentally tough. It’s far harder to see through the cultural conditioning and make compassionate choices for ourselves. I applaud your decision. You’re inspiring me to be mindful of choices like this. Yay for you! 😊

For whatever reason, seems like we’re the only town in Colorado that hasn’t gotten any significant rain in the past week… just enough to get the humidity up to 71% the other day. Hope we get better rain next week! And let’s hope it starts to cool down soon!

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space I just ditched my Hulu subscription yesterday for similar reasons… the ads were driving me nuts, and Hulu is the only streaming platform I had with ads (nearly as expensive as two other ad-free ones I have), so I kicked it to the curb. The worst part about it was they kept giving me prompts to choose which ad I preferred them to show me, and it made me furious. I feel loads better today! So, yay for both of us! Side note: hope you stay cool and happy today! 🙂

Post-Surgery edition, part 2

1. I got the stitches out! The incisions are healing nicely & no more excruciating pain & numbness like before the surgeries.

2. I stood up for myself & told the surgeon I was not pleased about avoidable issues with the anesthesia & asked him to do better in future to not repeat the agony he put me through.

3. I am excited to finally be able to resume much loved activities I’ve been unable to do for over 3 years. Hello ukulele! 😁

Many hawks return to the same nest for the next breeding season, and reinforcing a weak or loose wall of the nest now could ensure that it holds up better until the pair returns. As for search results, have you tried searching on Duck Duck Go (in NO AI mode)? I find that I get much “cleaner” search results there, since they don’t incentivize advertisers the same way other platforms do.
