Hoping some sensible Canadians see this (Albertans specifically but affects all Canadians) and will sign this petition: for the federal government to look into foreign interference in Alberta. If you sign it, please share! And boost anyone else who is sharing it! It's only been active since April 21st and already has over 10,000 signatures!

My latest Swainson's Hawks video from footage I took yesterday at the nest. Babies are getting big! This video has a few giggles and oh-my-gosh-cute moments. Enjoy! https://youtube.com/shorts/3NdkfollY3c?si=UVWPk4t-SxYjpcC4 #birds #babybirds #birdnest #nest #birdsOfalberta #birdsOfprey #birdsofMastodon #birdsOfFediverse #hawks #swainsonsHawks

I've been preoccupied lately. Our "baby" Swainson's Hawks are growing fast! Here's some video I took today: https://youtube.com/shorts/hPBhsPMoog8?si=RCVHvS3Mk1rLQah3 #birds #birdofPrey #hawks #swainsonsHawks #birdwatching #backyardbirding #babybirds #fledgling #nest #nestling #yyc #birdsOfAlberta

OMG is it even possible to get a legitimate answer for anything on the internet anymore without the top results being "written" by AI and full of ads top to bottom?? And no, I'm not using google search. I was trying to find an explanation for why a Swainson's hawk mother would bring fresh twigs with leaves (and what species it would be) to a nest when the babies are just days away from fledging. I'm adding a photo I from my website if anyone might be able to identify what she has in her mouth. #birds #birdbehavior #birdnest #hawks #swainsonsHawks #bird #birding #birdofPrey

There have been many highs and sadly, a tragic low this Swainson's Hawk season in YYC. But as season end draws near in just a few weeks time, I am hopeful the family will complete their trek south safely and successfully return home in 2027. In the meantime, I have just released my printable 2027 Project Hawk calendars. Check it out here: https://grafxbylisa.com/shop/product/ph-bwc2027calendars/ #birds #birdOfPrey #calendar #2027calendar #download #printable #swainsonsHawks
