According to Merriam Webster: "characterized by the practical, temporary, and ordinary : commonplace"
But according to Oxford: lacking interest or excitement; dull.
Leaves are ordinary and common but they are not dull or lack excitement 🤷

My only issue, along with the neovim suggestion, is that Im not sure if want to learn either vim or emacs. Given their reputation of steep learning curve
But on the other hand, they are very powerfull once learned. And since I also use a bit of python a Julia, it could be great to have just 1 IDE for everything
