@prahou@merveilles.town Nice comic, but why does she look so miserable?
(Note: I'm willing to accept "Because she is" as a valid answer)

@chasnah@tech.lgbt idea for an AI generated image: design a computer circuit modeled after American suburbs, with big empty areas and low density chip spaces.

We will continue providing support for the legacy X11 session for users who prefer to stick with it for now.
That's GREAT to know. There are a few users in here who have had bad experiences with Wayland and would rather stick with X11.

@dazo@infosec.exchange @preinheimer@phpc.social I tried to use this contraption to listen to Alice and Bob, but instead I heard a tree fall, and for some reason I also heard a monk clapping with a single hand. 🤷

@historydefined@mastodonapp.uk As I read this I realize how far we've come regarding the industry of... cabling.
All those clunky cables precede the floppy and HDD flat cables we see in PCs today; the color coded power cables in standardized power supplies. New standards like USB, HDMI...
so it's not just giant corporations like IBM; it's decades of engineering and consensus building to produce things that are easy to assemble and repair.

@ComicContext@mstdn.social I love this. 😁
Which reminds me, perhaps I should read the works of some French Revolution authors 🤔

@rickmans@nerdculture.de I mostly agree. I like the populous' ability to riot against their rulers when they're exploited, tho (still they're too slow, IMO); what I definitely do not like - and that's where I completely agree with you - is their tendency to hate strangers and harass anyone they consider different (gay ppl, autistic people), and how easily manipulable the masses are.
From religion to conspiracy theories to xenophobia and war.
I like very much what K said to J in Men in Black: "A person is smart; people are dumb."
