Just my toots:
A year ago today I received my diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Happy to report that I am not dead yet. I have endured chemotherapy and radiation therapy and much weight loss but I’m still standing.
I couldn’t possibly have made it this far without the loving support of my wife and daughter. I am so grateful to have them in my life.
This toot shall pass.

@bascule@mas.to Raccoons are trying to break into Cybertrucks, and there's some speculation that this is happening because the raccoons are literally IDENTIFYING them AS dumpsters
Fixed it for you 😉

@RickiTarr@beige.party Choosing a distinctive name takes great imagination and lack of fucks given. My grandmother excelled at this. Ten children she bore not including a few who didn’t survive. Her firstborn was Addison Washington. Not bad you say. Hang on to your hat. She named a boy Sharon Leon. Another boy was Shirley Cosby. There was a Leland Zanone. Leslie was the lucky one. The girls were also not spared. Orinda Eufala and Otanja Fay could only envy sisters Oneida Pearl, Opal, and Monnie.

@tagomago@mastodon.social @dvandal@infosec.exchange @davidgerard@circumstances.run @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe 💯 this. Do we want to inhabit a world where the “knowledge“ is locked up behind LLM paywalls? A world where Stack Overflow and other open knowledge sharing spaces wither and disappear and only the paid bots have access to the information that once was freely available?

@caspercdn@mstdn.social @benaar@mastodon.social There was at least one gas station in Memphis TN that did just that: switched the pumps from gallons to liters and priced accordingly

@heathen_cat@furs.social I do not disagree but there have been a few long term benefits from philanthropy. The Carnegie libraries have been one of the greatest paybacks to society.
Do they compensate for his crimes? No but I will not denigrate them because of who funded them.
