I have deep reservations about the whole system there. It is built on a lot of exploitation. Not as much as Saudi or Iraq, but nevertheless.

Conservative media in Australia are lamenting 'Labour detonates a negative equity bomb' in the housing market. Pointing to first home buyers going into negative equity.
Most first home buyers don't care, they are not trying to resell at a profit, they just want a home.
Those who invested in the negatively geared leveraged purchase of multiple properties invested in a bubble, and now it's popping.
My sympathy is very limited.

I agree that anthropodenial is much worse, leads to a lot of evil.
Anthropomorphism leads to mistakes. To cats again, when one plays with a mouse, is it evil, bored, or sadistic? Maybe bored, but probably none of these.
I know my dog feels affection, boredom, even something like shame once or twice, but there are many emotions or behaviours that are completely different, and ascribing human emotions is lazy thinking. A shortcut
