@jaredwhite@indieweb.social @peter@thepit.social @suzannealdrich@hachyderm.io statistically (apparently) most UK motorcycling accidents are (or were) mid life crisis guys who had a bike in their youth, got a family and a car, kids grew up, and they wanted to feel young again and got an op bike with their extra income.

@jaredwhite as the other commenters - I fear for all the cleverness, people in general just won't care (or won't have enough time/energy to care), we're all kept so stressed and worried about so many things I just thinks human attention is spread too thin - and that is what all the bad actors are hoping for. There are too many fights to fight and everyone is too tired and too busy - the overwhelm is vast.

@Illuminatus@mstdn.social @marcioaleks@fosstodon.org why does it get ants on it, and why does the water get so green so quickly?

@matthiasott@mastodon.social @colly@mastodon.social @simplebits@mastodon.social the last Walkman I had https://walkman.land/sony/wm-ex552 < it was nothing but a joy. #mixtapes

@jaredwhite@indieweb.social "Fayette County opted not to fine the company. "They're our largest customer, and we have to be partners," Tigert said. "It's called customer service."" I think we have a good candidate for the recipient of the brown envelopes. The most stupid bit "it's called customer service" - there is no chance this "customer" is going to get it's water from somewhere else

@gedeonm@mastodon.social are you able to share the AliExpress supplier/seller you used? These pics look great!

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange surely using your own name as your "hacker handle" is unwise

@boolat yeah, I need to work out the differences - an is a "replaced element" - but MDN says that changing the "content" of an element makes it an "anonymous replaced element" - so I need to find out more about what it does and doesn't mean - I haven't yet found any good write-ups of it.

@mipstian thanks, just read the blog post here https://kaylees.site/wipr-filtr.html - flirt just popped up when I updated my Wipr through TestFlight so whilst there was an in-app explanation, I just wanted to know a little bit more, and your blog post was that little bit more. Excited to see this progress! Thanks again.

@LAYERED@oldbytes.space magic! It's so slick!

@heliographe_studio@mastodon.social with the latest icon they have gone from a pen to a pencil - I feel that also says a lot

@kenney I respect and admire your principled stance, and thanks for definitive answer too. I'll just have to wait until I pick up a Steam Machine 😁

Not just any HTML tag it seems - "anonymous replaced elements" - still can't believe this totally slipped by me… https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Properties/content #HTML #CSS

@ppk @matuzo https://www.discogs.com/master/9298-Jeff-Buckley-Grace

@kenney any chance of #MakeRoom coming to iOS or Mac?

@yatil can you actually follow a thread in mastodon? I'm using Ivory app

@mipstian without giving away too much about how it works, is there a summary of what can be expected from Filtr, and why (if any) things it could break too?

@Bas what setup do you use for this? I'm keen to set something up myself too

@Bas @BirdhouseUpdate you designed all the overlays and stuff?

@noleli looking at the older toots it seems me and you want the same things!

@seldo@alpaca.gold oooh, something for me to look into tomorrow!

@css@front-end.social this is great! It goes a bit weird in Safari where gaps appear, but seems fine in Chrome. I have two questions I'm struggling to figure out from looking at the code. Is it possible to do this with logos of different widths? Is it possible to combine with "overflow detection" so it only "marquees" when there are enough images to warrant it?

@rizzi@gloria.social of all the entrants Mela top for me - it's genuinely useful and nice to use. Thanks Silvio!

@Tutanota@mastodon.social @volla@mastodon.social data (and processes involving that data) stays local on-device. Communication with servers online is user-approvable and auditable on-device. Data is encrypted.

@anatudor@mastodon.social is it possible to animate the effect - thinking like a little glitch type thing.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social how do you build the frames, and how do you create the pictures in the right colours? Are these things trade secrets?

@LAYERED@oldbytes.space oooh, what's this? Any link?
