I’ve blogged again, what’s happening to me?
To be fair, I wrote this months ago.
https://kaylees.site/app-review-shenanigans.html
✨ Wipr 2.34 is out now! ✨
Extra can now manipulate time itself! Let’s say a website makes you wait 10 seconds because you’re blocking their ads; now Extra can be like “what if milliseconds instead?”.
Double wait so double the usual Extra fixes!
Language owl will stop asking you to use the app 🤭

✨ Wipr 2.35 is out now! ✨
Filtr’s screen is now visible even on OSes that don’t support it. People with old OSes kept asking me “where’s Filtr” 😅
Extra should load faster and has a lot of fixes, including evading blocker detection on two big networks of websites (i.e. a lot of sites).
And more!

✨ Wipr 2.21 is out now! ✨
A more sophisticated site matching system + a new way to set cookies with expiry = bye bye to whole *classes* of cookie warnings.
That + improvements to my internal tools, and I’ve fixed 150 reports. And those are just the ones I checked!
I think despite everything, the wildest thing about Filtr is how many people signed up for its beta!
The numbers are rivaling the original Wipr 2 beta – and that one was open to the whole world, while this one is by invite only 😅
Guess there’s interest huh
✨ Wipr 2.27 is out now! ✨
It comes with UI improvements (like smoother refresh progress) and accessibility fixes.
There’s a new wave of anti-blocker measures coming, but this time Extra is getting ahead of it! So you don’t have to worry about it 😮💨
✨ Wipr 2 is 40% off* today**! ✨
Go go go, it’s just for today 🚲💨
* Or more, depending on currency!
** Apr 5th! Whatever that means in your timezone!

Before, users would blame Wipr for any issue they had in Safari.
But now!!!
Thanks to Filtr, users blame Wipr for any issue they have outside of Safari as well 🫠 Yayyy
✨ Wipr 2 will be 40% off* tomorrow**! ✨
It’s been a while since the last sale so why not! Enjoy!

🚨 Beta testers! 🚨
I was finally allowed to submit a build that includes Filtr, and it’s out now!
However, as far as I can tell Apple hasn’t certified my server component, so it won’t actually work 😅 Hopefully the certification won’t take as long 🫠
But we can test the UI for now!
✨ Wipr 2.18 is out now! ✨
This version can prevent execution of scripts on pages in a new way, which is both faster and more thorough. Fast enough I might enable it by default on all sites with no appreciable decrease in performance… we’ll see!
Happy 2026! 💜
Agency is back!
I’m re-releasing this game as a remaster of sorts, to do it justice. And I’m super happy with how it turned out!

@BenRiceM@mastodon.social I’ve used the “others are doing it” argument a bunch of times, it never works :/
Replying to
@schwa@mastodon.social yeah most pitches mention a @pure@mas.to attribute for closures as well
Replying to
@hchorey correct, this might happen in the beta when I have to push emergency updates for the App Store version.
Replying to
@codydh next I’d focus on understanding the little marks in the top right corner of each pad!
Replying to
@gracjan yes sorry you are correct. The popover version was disabled, the redirect version still works. Because of course google has two different cookie nags on the same site (ಠ_ಠ)
I’m hearing from multiple users that Filtr is now functional on the ‘27 betas, can anyone else confirm (or deny)?

Replying to
@gracjan@mastodon.online that could be, I guess URL filters might need the domain to be resolved in order to match against the URL. Or maybe the app was just preconnecting to warm up the connection (which isn’t necessarily blocked) and then all the actual tracking calls were blocked.

@PeterGracar@mastodon.social never in my life! Save a miracle, I’m gonna have to postpone
Replying to
@torsteinv yeah you can turn off all the lists there and only use the element blocker if you’d like
Replying to
@schwa@mastodon.social it comes up as pitches periodically (https://forums.swift.org/search?context=topic&context_id=5217&q=pure%20functions&skip_context=true) but I don’t think it ever made it to the proposal stage

@gracjan they never approved 2.27 🤷♀️ I’ve submitted 2.27.1 earlier, maybe they won’t forget this time

@avakining@hachyderm.io you know it’s not too bad lately… other than the couple places that don’t respect your glass settings I guess
