mastodon 4.5.18Working on https://mela.recipes and https://reeder.app.
Mostly announcements and updates here. Please use email for support.
A little update on Mela: As you may have noticed, it's taking longer than planned (again). Instead of just adopting Liquid Glass, I decided to do a custom Liquid Glass UI. Like the new Reeder, it will feature more of a reverse Liquid Glass layering, meaning that the actual content floats on top, not the bottom of the window. Coming along nicely, just not done yet.
It will be a major update and it will be free for existing users. Beta soon if all goes as planned.
Liquid Glass update for the new Reeder is out now.
Took a bit longer than planned, sorry about that.
Next up: Mela.
After that: Reeder Classic. Not sure yet how I’ll handle it… might just leave it as is for now and make sure it runs fine on OS 26.
Wow! Mela was a finalist for the Apple Design Awards.
Truly honored and very happy :) Big congrats to the winners!
New Mela update is now available, adding a new in-app browser search option: https://foodle.recipes
This was a side project I worked on over the last couple weeks. It's a simple search engine that only searches for recipes. It's still in beta and rather minimal at this point.
(As I'm more of a macOS/iOS developer, I'm a bit nervous about this one. Let's hope it doesn't fall apart under moderate load.)
New Reeder updates are out.
Reeder 2025.5
Improved filters, new dark/light theme and a new timeline setting to delete old items.
See the App Store release notes for all the details.
Reeder Classic 5.5.1
This update should hopefully fix an issue where the article viewer or in-app browser would go blank. (Hopefully means that I wasn't able to reproduce it, but I think it should be fixed now.)
New Reeder update is out, adding Timeline Controls, available as a count button in the list or as a toolbar button without a count... and much more, see the release notes for all the details.
Reeder 2025.2 is now available, finally adding support for filters.
New Reeder update is out, with improved support for Pixelfed feeds.
New Reeder update is out! You can now export your subscriptions as OPML. Also includes limited SoundCloud support, improved replies readability for Mastodon and Bluesky (indentation), and more. See the release notes for details.
