@maxleibman@beige.party randomly, and related: with all the discourse (here in the UK and elsewhere) about "should we ban under-16s from social media" ... i keep thinking: if you mean twiXter, instagram, bluesky, threads, facebook, truthsocial, etc ... absolutely, no question. but i'd have only mild to no concern with letting my 14 year old kid go on the fedi (with some guard rails)

@vees i usually 'put them on hold for a second' ... just put my phone down and carry on doing whatever it was that they interrupted. occasionally hear their faint "hello?"s. see how long they hold out before hanging up. any second they waste with me is a second they're not scamming somebody
a little #pixelart merch drop...ever since playing yakuza:like a dragon, i've been meaning to recreate the little pixelart characters that appear on the loading screen... https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/90823205-yakuza-like-a-dragon-pixel-characters #pixel #merch

@peter@thepit.social fair point, i gravitated just to the preview snippet. still, even the full article includes interesting snippets about the difference between "experts"/STEM and general public, some suggestions it's just a messaging problem, that use has not plateaued or decreased despite skepticism...
