I did a decent paint job but totally forget about the trackball buttons. This has been a series of unfortunate circumstances and frustrations.
I also had to buy a new PS/2 to USB adapter because the initial one I bought was flaky. SIGH

A weird side effect of the prevalence of LLMs is my increased focus on ensuring my code is solid af. I used to code faster but am taking a more methodical approach to coding.
I use Claude extensively to build things I don't have the bandwidth for and when I get around to checking out its code, I rewrite it because it comes with unnecessary boilerplate or doesn't remember my coding preferences.
Idk, just a random "ah, interesting" thought.

When companies donate to FOSS it’s typically because they’re using the tech internally so I was more speaking to the wild possibility of Claude being able to generate basic models for prototyping.

@emilymbender I had an appointment last week (Kaiser Permanente) and my doctor asked if I was fine with being recorded and she explained that it made it easier for her to write up a report later.
No mention of AI but that's not to say that's the real reason.

@TommyTorty10@infosec.exchange Thanks! I’ve never soldered before but I found a tutorial where the guy was like, “relax, it doesn't need to be perfect, you’ll be fine," so I feel better about this.
I’d prefer if I put my spacebar on correctly the first time so I could be typing on that instead of my AEK II but alas. If the switches are mind-blowing, I just might upgrade this AEK too.
