Weird thing about me as a retro tech collector, I will probably never remove these blockbuster stickers from this cartridge. Not because doing so might damage something on the cart itself but because they're part of the story and history of the cartridge and I like keeping that.

I like video games, programming languages, and hacking things up with old video game hardware. I also post a lot about TV I'm watching, and sometimes books I'm reading too.
Used to stream on twitch (as megmactv) but don't really anymore.
Anything I say here is 1000% my own opinion and probably no one, including any employers I have or have had in the past, agree with me.
If I had the power I would make everyone in a position of power in the tech industry go on a leave of absence until they had read the mythical man month at least 10 times.
There's a very particular kind of bike nimby that seems weirdly common where they seem to believe that people on bikes do not exist other than when they're on their bikes, and they're particularly obsessed with the idea that bikes should require paid licenses.
I saw someone say that they think the literal only tax cyclists pay is gst on their bikes. Apparently according to this person they don't live anywhere or buy groceries or make income or anything. They just buy bikes.
People are so damn weird.
I dunno what associate member means but yes plz to being in the schengen area if that's on the table at least.
Seems like I'm pretty alone in this among online trek fans but I'm pretty ok with this season of snw being kinda dumb to be honest. It's not very tng, but I do think it's pretty close to a more silver age of sf sensibility that tos exemplified pretty well and that's the world the show is inevitably moving towards. I think it makes sense to bridge the tonal gap between "everyone scowls all the time" discovery and "sometimes someone's brain is in a jar or this planet is literally the town of tombstone" tos. Brilliant and strikingly dramatic episodes like City on the Edge of Forever were ultimately the exception not the rule in tos imo.
I expect the final short season will be a lot more serious though. I think
This is a very cool observation that you can find a lot of information about changes to time zones from the tzdb project's commit log and mailing list.
I think it's really funny how all the trailers before the transformers 40th anniversary theatrical rerelease were for kids movies.
Even funnier though is that almost every one of those trailers had a needle drop on a 40ish year old song.
I think one of the most hilarious things about the American psyche, such as anything like that exists, is the inexplicable belief in a "timeline for war".
Like killing people is a thing you can do on a neat little schedule, where the other side just does exactly what you predict they'll do, which is for some reason always "give up and surrender" or "go so crazy that they can't effectively fight back."
The media inevitably demands this fairy tale, that can't possibly exist, and a fairy tale answer is of course given, and some people believe it unconditionally and others will use it as some kind of gotcha in a political game that's as nonsensical as the killing itself is.
But it will never work out that way. And playing along is no better, whether you think the timeline is realistic or are going to use it to score points that it wasn't met, as if all the death would be worthwhile if only the killing had proceeded as scheduled.
It's exhausting.
It really feels like the new season of Ted Lasso was written by two completely different set of writers, and for some reason they forgot half the plots they set up in the first episode until after halfway through the season.
