@mynameistillian@plush.city Yes, these are fantasies, ok to have regardless of trauma. I personally like media where I can feel like a character to whom things are done, that they want but would not ask for, with the additional fantasy that everything is safe (having only "soft bad ends") and if there is an ending, it's what makes them happy. I might see your kinks as hot.

A cool thing about having my own router with OpenWrt instead of the completely locked one from the ISP is that I get a log showing a lot of PPPoE timeouts and reconnections.

This looks as reliable as the previous ISP just before they found their infrastructure unsalvageable.

Maybe I need technologies that would accept a minute or more of lower layer unavailability, so I wouldn't be getting e.g. errors from Mastodon not being able to send a post, or the email client hanging on broken connections.

Thinking how the security risk of photos revealing fingerprints would apply to a world of anthros with canines having their unique nose patterns. (And probably non-identifiable paw pads.)

I see a photo of a happy big dog's face, with the nose completely in focus.

18+ furry visual novel series, gay porn
I've recently played The Prank series of furry visual novels (everything in 1, parts of 2), and I like it. It's short and has animated sex scenes, probably not usually played for the plot, but there is the fun in discovering all the scenes. One specific thing I highly dislike about it is the image of a dildo with no flared base, the experienced character having it should've known better. Otherwise recommendable.

@nocturne@meemu.org I see it as yet another "Made in Europe" solution only for users of two US companies as it involves mobile apps. But maybe it's an improvement in that case. I would be happy if it could replace PayPal for my use case of doing payments to foreign friends/artists/companies via a Web browser on a regular computer, but I already can do bank transfers via various European instant transfer providers integrated with the Web application of my bank. Or just sharing IBANs with other people.

@joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech @nocturne@meemu.org There is a similar app-only system in Poland (Blik), my bank supports it only via its app, while otherwise the bank has a proper Web application. Ok if they support it later (I don't see yet a reason why the banks would follow), but they could make the "European sovereignty" part more genuine.

@nocturne@meemu.org Yes, and all the stories of PayPal users being banned for words their clients write in descriptions or Visa merchants having to pay for fake transactions. I'd want a payment system where both sides are anonymous, but that's vastly ahead of what I'm already missing in the new systems. (And people in power have other methods for anonymity when they can destroy evidence of such with no consequences.)

Thinking that music events could be more accessible over VR: volume control, no need to travel. Still so many issues apply, and some extra ones unique to online things. There are cool videos of these which I wouldn't look at due to flickering lights.

@zaki@plasmatrap.com So a usual computer screen, of a realistic but not most popular OS, with a big "access granted" as these are expected to show. With that being exciting for the user. I now want that. My attempts at getting software to work usually involve many slow loops of checking if it maybe is ok now and then having it fail or not. I'm more interested in scenes where professionals use their expertise in ways that appear believable due to my other experiences, like media with Vancian wizards developing strategies that would work in a D&D-based video game. That one surely has a different purpose.

@notavi10@critter.cafe Yes, with "boy" and "girl" often implying not seeing the person as an adult. (Same issue with gender-neutral words for a son or daughter.) Twink is ok when knowing the person saying that to be queer and the recipient wanting to be considered a twink, but there are many non-twink cute men-adjacent people and a more universal term would be useful.

@nocturne@meemu.org The only AML parts I'm aware of is the extra effort it requires me when interacting with banks, the deadnaming of trans people in payments, and the news of highest level politicians with a long history of corruption that are not stopped by that. Maybe it does something else that's useful, or maybe it's a consequence of a system that could've been designed to not need that.

BL webcomic recommendation
I've recently read about a hundred pages of Theurgy, a BL webcomic about a human-demon relationship, and I like it. (Also that these pages involved a beach episode of shirtless hunks having fun.) (Comic sites have age ratings, Tapas marks specific censored pages as mature.) https://theurgycomic.carrd.co/

@alexia@shrimp.starlightnet.work I'd support only an union opposed to the existence of my job, but otherwise yes. With practical issues I'd have to find solutions for. Every time I reviewed any contract (which probably no one else had ever read), I felt it's such a waste of time as a union could negotiate/fix these for all.

The thing about non-malicious sites getting rejected by the automation reminds me of the XScreenSaver privacy policy.

I really enjoyed the more "fear of the unknown" horror parts. SecUnit getting into places which I imagine via what I know of Alien media and of cosmic horror stories.

There is more for me to learn from the parts with humans, but now I feel a need for more horror-focused scifi series.

So all that you write, and the stability/dependability (it's not like a corporate project that would've pivoted many times into not doing a distro). I felt it also being good for learning how things work, and for adjusting for custom things (packaging was easier than in the other distros I know).
