'I just spoke with the train guard who got fired by train company LNER for saying "Free Palestine" outside of work. This is what he had to say:

"I'm still struggling to regain employment in the railway industry due to my name being black listed. I've been refused a prison officer job despite passing all my entry tests - the reason is I was sacked by LNER. I've explained the sacking was for standing up to racism, but the powers that be upheld their decision. It's still having a massive effect on my job prospects and affecting my financial situation massively."

It's devastating to hear of the impact this has had on his life, after he gave 18 years service to the company. It's clearer than ever now we need to ramp up our campaign for justice. '

'New files released today revealed key details about Peter Mandelson's appointment as ambassador to the United States:

They indicate that Starmer and Chief of Staff Morgan McSweeney ignored warnings about Mandelson's Epstein links as well as his ties to Russia (which documents claim continued "long after Putin's annexation of Crimea").

They show that National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell described the appointment as "unusual" and "weirdly rushed." He also raised concerns to McSweeney, who said the "issues have been addressed" (but where is the paper trail to show that?).

Mandelson, astoundingly, asked for more than £500k upon his termination in September last year. He received £75k as a "special severance payment," a Foreign Office official writing that "the Department will not publish the detail of this payment."

Files show that David Lammy, who seemingly briefed the press last month to claim he fought against the appointment, actually "agreed with the recommendation."

'Y:Cube is a modular housing scheme in London offering accommodation for 36 young people that is both affordable and supports young people to live independently.

Built in 2015, what makes the development of this scheme so special is that most of the work is completed away from the site. Each home is manufactured in a factory in Derbyshire before being transported to London. They are highly energy efficient and the project was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize and has won multiple innovation awards.

Working with a supportive local authority, the local YMCA were able to deliver this impressive and much needed housing scheme in under a year. The young people who live there include Martin. This is what he had to say about living at Y:Cube.'
