In reality, I just assume you don’t know how to write a script.

I've confirmed that the host and even the container in which Mastodon is running can reach those domains and resolve the correct IPs, so I don't think it's strictly a networking issue. The issue is exclusive to the Mastodon program itself.
There are no logged errors or failed tasks in Sidekiq as far as I can tell. These operations just silently fail.
If you don’t use ISO 8601 you’re objectively incorrect I will die on this hill.
