Deleted my post about the sexual harassment I'd received on Fedi, because it was driving more sexual harassment toward me.
Y'all want women on Fedi? Fight that shit. I can't do it for you.
I've moved over to Ghost (@veronica) for long form posts, and GoToSocial (@veronica@explains.social) for most other posting. Please check the links and the pinned post for more details.
I'm mostly signed out of this account. DMs here not currently welcome or read. I will be migrating post content to my GoToSocial account soon, please see the pinned deprecation notice for more details.

Friendly reminder that Mastodon, et al is federated, which means you almost certainly won't see every reply on a thread.
Let's say you're reading a post from "reasonable.domain". And someone from "cesspool.domain" replies to it. If your instance blocked "cesspool.domain", you won't see that reply.
This effect minimizes the appearance of harm. It can be a blessing, but it also means you won't always see the problems inherent on these platforms.

OK folks, I'm ripping a (brand new) Blu-Ray which skips a bit in my standalone player. MakeMKV errors out each time I try. The factory put a visible scratch in it, and it looks like it's deeper than the surface layer.
I have tried:
Nothing seems to help. Short of acquiring other sources for this media, is there a trick you've tried to get troublesome Blu-Ray discs ripped?
