@thatsgood@wehavecookies.social @amydiehl@mstdn.social surely you do not think that USSR didn't have rampant misogyny.
Because it did. USSR essentially did the same thing as the west, it pushed women into the workforce while being extremely socially conservative otherwise. Workplace sexism followed.

> The most toxic thing to happen in the F/OSS world is the attitude that some people are so smart (because they’ve created successful projects) that you cannot criticise them. The idea that, because someone created something good, they are infallible is disastrous for them, the projects they run, and the broader ecosystem.
This also ties in to the wider protestant moral framework where work is viewed as a moral good, making it easy to rationalize bad people who are productive as being net neutral

Yeah, there's a video about this from a few months ago by the same person

It's been what, 20 hours now? Bsky looks to still be down. Dunno if it even got up while I was away, touching grass.
My objection to this blog is as follows:
The abuse of workers in the global south by western platform capitalism is in fact a product of enshittification. Offshoring content moderation? That's enshittification. Replacing those workers with models trained on the products of their labour is also enshittification. It both makes the platform worse, and it also takes away those jobs entirely.
RE: @DelftPL@akademienl.social
sorry, it is too funny seeing the words "hole-driven development" and "cockx" on the same screen
Supposedly #decentralized website #bsky dot app has gone down so hard, the supposedly independent appview run by blacksky is also down
