Women make 23% more in a unionized trade than non-union counterparts. In a union, you cannot get paid less because you’re a woman, and that happens frequently in non-union work, so the wage gap is less. https://people.com/woman-in-the-trades-says-women-can-make-over-usd40-an-hour-exclusive-12137269

Only 13% of women have hands large enough to comfortably play repeated, fast octaves on a standard piano vs 76% of men. Smaller-handed pianists get injured more often & blame their bodies instead of the design. String instruments are made in graduated sizes yet the piano is fixed. https://news.stanford.edu/stories/2026/07/piano-keyboard-design-standard-narrow-women-research

Researchers replicated a study on bias on hiring w/ AI. When AI was told a candidate from one group failed as a doctor, AI stopped hiring anyone from that candidate's group as a dr and instead hired them as janitors. AI was more likely to stereotype people than humans in the original study. https://www.technologyreview.com/2026/07/20/1140655/ai-biases-hiring-humans/
