Survivorship bias and logical fallacy.
The good music is what is remembered, the crap is forgotten, so now songs from that era people remember are biased towards good music, so people draw the conclusion that all music from that era was good.

Trump needs his #ballroom because there was some violence near him. Also, since he plays so much golf and there was violence when was golfing, the ballroom needs to include a mini-golf course.

An economist would probably argue that economics is at its core about behavior and only incidentally about money. It's very relatable to think about friendships that way.. like the friend who always comes to you with their problems but doesn't want to hear about yours. Giving and taking certainly isn't just money. Adding money to friendships often makes them "weird".
For friendships, or borrowing, or bartering to work, all parties need to feel and act like they're an equal.

I'm expecting that over the next decade or so all the men will move on from programming to vibe-coding or some similar BS, actual programming will lose respectability (in their eyes) and it will again become "women's work" and there will be a mass exodus of men from the field.
This has already happened in other fields, notably veterinary medicine, biological science, and interior design. Programming will be next.

Do you know of similar concerns about websites like https://stopice.net/ ?
I say "like" that one because I don't know of others, but I'm guessing they are around. stopice.net does at least differentiate between 'confirmed' and 'unconfirmed' alerts on the map, although it is not clear from reading through the descriptions how they are vetted.

A coordinated effort of law enforcement agencies using split-second timing, good old-fashioned police work, and (approved) unnecessary violence led to the capture and arrest of Jake and Elwood Blues - the Blues Brothers. The operation, though successful, was not without cost - nearly every mobile police asset (i.e., cop cars) in the greater Chicago area was severely damaged or destroyed, leaving a gap of some weeks where the Chicago PD was unable to respond quickly or effectively pursue fleeing criminals.
Also, the Cubs were having their worst season in 15 years.
In short, the time was right... for a heist.
