@gedeonm@mastodon.social it’s been a few years since I tried a very mediocre hand at it. I remember starting with the best of intentions and then falling off a few days in.
I think this is probably my favourite of the ones I did.

“…the $348m Te Ara Tupua cycling and walking path between Ngauranga and Petone.”
Queue all the complainers complaining about $348m spent on a “stupid cycling path”. What they don't realise is that this is actually rail corridor climate change risk mitigation with a path put on top. The cycle/walking use is just a happy outcome of necessary works.

Hello everyone! I’d like to welcome Mrs Donkey (@psychoticscroodlebum@mastodon.social)
to the fediverse. She has recently been banned from Facebook for being nice. Apparently, that made her account look like a scammer.
I’ve been telling her how wonderful mastodon is so she decided to join today.
I’ll be giving her some pointers over the next little while, but please make her feel welcome. 🙏
Love that I get to see more sunsets in the winter. 🤩

@SimonCHulse@mastodon.nz Oh cool. Yeah, we don't have anything to do with cycle ways really but I'll suggest it to PNCC for sure!

@troed@swecyb.com @SimonCHulse@mastodon.nz This is what pisses me off - it *would* be possible to built a sustainably run, environmentally friendly data center. Sure it’d cost more to build but they’ve all got the money. They just choose not to.
